Of those killed in the Israeli air and artillery attacks on the Strip, 28,951 (92%) were civilians, including 12,345 children, 6,471 women, 295 health personnel, 41 civil defense personnel, and 113 journalists. Meanwhile, 61,079 individuals have been injured, hundreds of them critically.

The world just got hit with the strongest class of solar flare (X Class), leading to temporary telecom disruptions in multiple countries. The flare had a strength of only X1.9, relatively minor compared to a solar storm like the Carrington event (X45) which caused a global blackout in the 1800s.
Here's a map of the most impacted locations in the US, looks like widespread issues with all carriers.

Beating humans in challenges has always been a milestone for AI ever since Garry Kasparov lost a chess series to IBM's Deep Blue in 1997 and accused it of cheating. Now Google and Microsoft continue to push their AI products to the world, boasting suprahuman performance on tests like MMLU (Measuring Massive Multitask Language Understanding).
MMLU is a new benchmark proposed in 2021 by AI researchers. This test covers 57 subjects across STEM, humanities, social sciences and more - testing for world knowledge and problem solving. Google's Gemini Ultra was the first model to outperform humans experts and achieve a 90.0% on the test. OpenAI's GPT4 had previously scored 86.4%.
But is the MMLU test an accurate measurement of knowledge? The AI Explained channel on YouTube points out that many questions in the test were missing context, had unclear language, and even wrong answers when looking at the source material. He also points out that OpenAI and Google likely use automatic grading instead of having human review of answers.
Is there an arms race to replace human thought and production? As Google incorporates Gemini into more of their software products like Android and Google Drive, and Microsoft with Windows, Bing, and the MS Office suite I have to wonder how many humans AI will end up replacing.

At least 104 people were killed and 760 injured in a chaotic incident where Israeli troops opened fire as hungry Palestinian civilians were gathering around food aid trucks, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
CNN is unable to independently confirm these numbers.
People had swarmed around newly arrived aid trucks in the hope of getting food, when Israeli tanks and drones started shooting at the people in Haroun Al Rasheed Street in western Gaza City, in the Sheikh Ajleen area.
The tragedy comes as the death toll in the Gaza war surpasses 30,000, more than a half a million people in Gaza are on the brink of famine, United Nations agencies say, and as negotiations between Israel and Hamas reach a potentially pivotal moment.

I discovered recently on an iPhone that Telegram restricts that feature to premium users. so anyone who doesn't pay gets messaged by random scammers. is it the same on Android?
edit: appears voice message privacy is paywalled on Android.
pretty scumbag move from Telegram if that's the case, probably the #1 most frustrating thing about the platform and they've paywalled the ability to protect yourself.

The greatest psyop in recent memory is convincing people who claim to love liberty & the constitution, or "patriots" that Trump is a hero.
The msm attacks on him for (mostly) irrelevant shit caused a good chunk of people to stop paying attention & now excuse anything he does.
These folks blindly defend Trump & assume any criticisms of him are TDS. In reality they have Trump Savior Syndrome.
Of course, Biden & "the other side" are so bad that any piece of shit looks good next to him.
It's a perfect storm of clusterfucks that is being done by design.
The whole point is to keep you playing the game, following the drama, while the Predator Class uses both sides to tear down the country.
The reason I think Trump supporters are potentially more dangerous is their blind support for him. Ofc, blind hate of him doesn't help.
