Another day, another activation - this time in Cleveland Ohio. We had an awesome time at Ithaca Ct Community Garden clearing space for future events and setting some dirt aside for the garden ;)
I am personally learning a lot about what it takes to build community and am thankful for the experience. What are you up to in your city?

Hey Ramiro.
Been loosely following the Activation tour and enjoy finding out about the connections you are making with people.
Interesting news about El Salvador and Bitcoin adoption. Not sure if that is moving towards Freedom or away from it. I was wondering how a Bitcoin ATM works. Does it give out coin or fiat money?
I have been interested in Piratechain for it's privacy aspect but last time I looked it had slumped again.
Over here in Australia the FC groups seem to discuss all but freedom cell living. The WA Freedom Cell Network is discussing flat earth theory and whether the moon is transparent or not😊 Not focussed...
I noticed Derrick mentioned in his recent voice message that some people you meet report the sluggishness over there to form working cells that are focussed on building separate societies too. I posted his message on the WA group. No comment. I have started three separate groups with interested people living in different areas, hoping they will be able to meet up with people living close by.
Great to be connected with you guys and learn from you. I am in the process if learning about and sourcing radios to build a Meshtastic network😊 I have had Linux laptops for a few years and now a Linux phone and two de-googled phones all on VPN. So enjoy the TBOT channel and encourage family and friends along these lines.
Regards to Derrick and Miriam please and keep up your great work. I am also enjoying the pyramid of power series.
Good onya all for your leadership in these important areas. I would love to be able to attend a few of your rallies😊

One major concern of this era is our dependence on centralized radio communication networks. The current networks both surveil and control their users.
The age-old practice of telecommunications warrants show that telecommunications providers will withhold customer records indefinitely and are all too eager to assist law enforcement. We've also seen that cellular service providers are all too eager to help intelligence agencies create extensive databases based on call records which can be further analyzed and queried.
Cellular service is also used as a mechanism for control. In Pakistan, cellular service is being denied to unvaccinated individuals. In Mexico, legislation has been passed that requires cellphone companies to gather fingerprints and eye scans from their customers.
This surveillance and control can grow quickly out of hand should it be used to enforce unjust laws. Thus, if we value our freedom and privacy we must look to open decentralized solutions such as Beechat Network.
I sat down with Nick, the founder, and Robert, the COO of Beechat Network. We discussed to get a sense of how the technology worked, how we could use it, and if it could truly replace cellular communications.
...
Everyone on the network is responsible for its robustness. Beechat Radios are either powered by your phone or laptop, or members of the network can setup radio repeaters which can be powered by solar panels. Many repeaters can be setup ‘bridge nodes’ across a geographical area to achieve coverage, helping propagate messages on the Beechat network to their intended destination node.

Good day my nodes,
Last night we spoke to a packed house in Philadelphia for the Activation Tour! I continue to meet amazing people doing great work around the US and it gives me so much hope for the future. Today we'll be in Asheville, NC!
I had a good conversation last night about awareness of what we feed into the global information system. I have been noticing that different businesses are positioned to collect more of our personal information. Like a restaurant not accepting orders by phone but requiring usage of an app or delivery service. Or a hotel asking for your phone number. Although it can be tough on the road, its been a good practice of non compliance and private action to use cash and protect my info.
The more we protect ourselves from businesses that are plugged into the system, the more the counter economy grows.
I want to know, what are you doing to starve the beast of information?

New Patent Proposes Digital Surveillance to Vaccinate People Based on Social Credit Style Scores
📡@G3News: Patent and trademark attorneys Dr. Gal Ehrlich and Maier Fenster of Ehrlich & Fenster recently had a US patent approved for a technology that aims to surveil people via their digital activity, give them a score that defines “the potential level of super-spreading activity of each individual,” and then vaccinate people based on this score.
The patent proposes collecting a wide range of personal information from sources such as mobile devices, apps, social media web browsing records, payment records, medical records, employment records, the government, and surveillance cameras.
It also suggests collecting highly specific personal information via these sources such as:
👉 Precise location data
👉 The length of time people spend at the locations they visit
👉 The ventilation rate of the places people visit
👉 Images of people looking at the screen of their mobile phone
👉 Sounds from the microphones in personal devices
👉 Facial recognition data.
The patent proposes numerous potential surveillance applications for this data which include detecting when people are using public transport by using “geolocation and/or regular start-stop movement that matches a public transportation profile,” monitoring when people are washing their hands by “analyzing sounds of water running or movement by a smartwatch,” and checking whether people are wearing a mask by “analyzing images taken during calls or other looking at screen of cellphone.”
Once the data has been gathered, the technology outlined in the patent analyzes the data and assigns a “score” to their electronic device.

Hey folks its Ramiro,
I have arrived home after accompanying the Activation Tour across 12 cities in 16 days. The tour will carry on with Derrick, Miriam & friends in ATL and Florida, I will meet them in Houston for the final stop of the tour on the 30th!
Its been an unforgettable experience. We were once strangers on the internet, but in person - we're family.
I'd like to thank all the wonderful people and Freedom Cellers who attended the stops and are building strong relationships and systems locally. Getting home has made me realize that there are a lot of gaps in my skills and knowledge (been sitting in front of a computer for too long) and that I'd like to go out and learn by doing.
I've been lucky enough to get plugged in with a few events, but wanted to reach out to the greater community to see if there were more. I've created this Telegram group, called FCXP - Freedom Cells Experiences, so that we can share any event that brings together experienced practitioners with people who want to learn. Ideally, these events would focus on hands-on skills development.
Things like survival & wilderness training, permaculture intensives, herbalism workshops - you get the gist. If you know of any events like these, or want to make your own please feel free to post them in the new Freedom Cell XP group.

Our friends at the World Council For Health wrote an excellent piece on taking care of ourselves during the lockdowns.
https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/resources/what-is-pandemic-fatigue-and-how-can-you-grow-through-it/
Steps to process your grief
While some people are actively grieving the loss of loved ones, others may not recognize they are grieving the different losses described previously. Here’s what experts advise in order to help you cope with loss:
Acknowledge your pain, understand that your grieving process will be unique to you.
Accept that grief can trigger different and unexpected emotions.
Seek out face-to-face support from people who care about you.
Support yourself emotionally by taking care of yourself physically.
By acknowledging and labeling negative emotions about the pandemic you will find it easier to process the trauma and start the journey of healing. Through this process, you can take control of your life.
Throughout our existence, human beings have experienced adversity in many forms under various circumstances. We have survived and grown through them. Allow the adversity we are experiencing now to empower you to develop through positive change and understand we are all connected.
We can shift our thinking and utilize this opportunity for positive change!
Try these things to avoid pandemic fatigue
Be aware. Start a diary and categorize your thoughts. Don’t ignore, but don’t indulge or dwell on negative thoughts. Instead, set aside time every day to worry. While it may sound strange, it’s a great way to start to exert control over your thoughts. At the scheduled time, briefly write down your worries. If you can think of a solution, take action to address that worry, otherwise, accept it and move on with your day.
Try the 3-3-3 rule. During the pandemic, it’s easy to contemplate ‘what-if’ scenarios with an array of negative outcomes. When you’re feeling overwhelmed by worry, look around and name three things you see. Next, name three sounds you hear. Finally, move three parts of your body—your ankle, arm, and fingers. When your brain starts to race, this trick can help bring you back to the present moment.
Reduce time spent listening to ‘news’ broadcasts and social media to avoid being bombarded by negative pandemic statistics and scare-mongering.
Reduce time spent watching television programs and take note of how the programs make you feel when you do watch them. Avoid programs that are violent, leave you feeling anxious, or those that feel morally questionable to you.
Record your negative thoughts and replace them with life-affirming statements.
Hang out with positive friends who don’t drag every conversation into negative territory.
Read books that inspire you and fuel your mind. Reading bedside stories will also help your children.
Play! Board games like scrabble or chess foster higher-level strategic thinking and problem-solving. Ones that make you laugh are also extremely beneficial to your state of mind.
Deep breathing, meditation, and yoga are wonderful stress relievers.
Limit alcoholic drinks. If you enjoy an alcoholic beverage and become aware that you are using it more than usual, acknowledge that and either limit or consider avoiding it.
Get enough sleep. Set regular bedtimes and try to avoid food or alcohol for at least two hours before bedtime to encourage good quality sleep.
Sun therapy. Daily exposure to fresh air and sunlight not only uplifts the mood but is also a potent immune booster. Sit in direct sunlight for at least 15 minutes a day if you are feeling unwell. Sunlight has been proven to kill viruses, bacteria, and fungi and also produces serotonin, a key hormone that stabilizes mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness.
Home remedies. If they work for you, use them with guidance to gain knowledge.
Remember the people, activities, and things that bring you joy and increase the time spent enjoying and being grateful for these each day.

Good morning peeps,
Yesterday I migrated to a newer version of the above.phone, the Pixel 4a with GrapheneOS.
I'm loving Android 12 which was just released for Pixel devices running GrapheneOS! Will be showing off screenshots in a bit.
Some other housekeeping things I did for the phone:
- Setup KDE Connect across my Linux devices/phones for two way clipboard sharing, file sharing, and more.
- Setup a local KeepassDX database
- Transfer any 2FA (Aegis)
- Transfer my crypto wallets
- Setup my emails
- Setup my XMPP accounts
Can you believe this all took less than an hour? We'll be releasing guides for these activities on your degoogled phone on our knowledgebase.
Hoping to wrap up the XMPP article today, have the last stop of the Activation Tour in Houston tomorrow, and also have new projects to work on next week that I'm excited to share with you.
What are your plans for the weekend?

My dear Freedom Family,
The talk I've been giving as part of the Activation Tour surmises that we must all work on 'creative systems', which can be defined as systems that benefit the people who are involved in them. Examples of the systems would include Freedom Cells, farm co-ops, mutual aid groups, and community computing groups. Awake and aware individuals will shift from the current destructive systems of food, government, education, and media towards creative systems over this next decade.
There are three important changes in mindset that we need to adapt to this:
1. Creation is hard work, learn & practice: When we work for ourselves through creative systems, it requires tremendous effort (at least at the beginning). There were many times in my career working on creative systems in the past 2 years that pushed me far harder than any corporate job ever did. Is your job currently tedious but easy? Does it feel boring and unfulfilling?
2. Collaboration is essential, create and serve others: Although there is merit in specialization, we should build multi-disciplinary knowledge in the things we are interested in. This encourages collaboration and allows us to partner on many creative projects simultaneously. This is not only the crucial sharing of resources, knowledge, and labor for a project, but also the resonance and harmony that is created when multiple consciousnesses exchange ideas together. If you don't know where to start, then consider being of service to other creative systems. Not only does develop valuable knowledge and practice, but your good intentions and energy will return to you with abundance.
3. Uncharted Territory, find the answers: We are trying to create a world that values freedom and prosperity at a universal scale, and it is challenging to find blueprints for this new way of living. In the traditional destructive world, we may follow the path of going to school, getting a job, working 40 years, and then retiring. In this new world, there is no such 'established path'. We may look to signs from the universe of our higher power and purpose. We must draft our own blueprints, our own ways of 'making it work' for ourselves and those around us. We are the ones who get to build the creative systems and solve the world's problems.
Although these are heavy realizations, one thing is certain. Working on creative systems is freeing, fulfilling and may be the key to finding our life's purpose.
What creative systems are you involved in? Which ones would you like to start, or help serve? Tell us all about it. ❤️

PREVIEW: XMPP - Learn How To Use A 20+ Year Old Messaging Protocol That's More Decentralized and Private Than Telegram & Matrix
Official Community | Telegram Channel |Telegram Chat Odysee | Hive | Minds
Here is an excerpt from the XMPP article being released this week!
https://takebackourtech.org
—
I just got back from a tour around the country promoting revolutionary technologies, and I had plenty to say about XMPP. It is a secure, reliable, decentralized, and extensible protocol for messaging, calling, and much much more.
We first started working with XMPP after realizing we didn't have a secure way to communicate with our designers, developers, administrators, and other creatives around the world. We tried many chat solutions (RocketChat, Matrix, NextCloud) but landed on XMPP because it had the following characteristics:
Truly Decentralized and Federated (meaning people from different servers can talk to each other while no central authority can have influence on another server unlike Matrix)
End-To-End Encryption (unlike Telegram, unless you're using secret chats)
Cross-Platform Applications (Desktop, Web, and Mobile)
Multi-Device Synchronization (available on non-OTR servers)
Voice and Video Calling (available on most servers)
Through exploration, we found that all of these features exist in XMPP and that it was easy enough to run it for ourselves. Other communities may find value in running XMPP for their personal communications, and there are many public servers that make it widely available for individuals.
XMPP has a huge potential to replace platforms like Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp, although its use hasn't reached mass consciousness. Rather then spread awareness of friendly and open technologies like these, big tech companies preferred to build their proprietary solutions ontop of XMPP and market those instead - so you may have been using XMPP this whole time without even knowing it.
Take Back Our Tech is one of the first organizations pushing for the adoption of XMPP to a wider community, and this article is an important first step as a technological overview. By the end of this article you will be able to get yourself setup with an XMPP account and device as well as objectively evaluate an XMPP service provider.

ProtonMail Tries To Censor Critics By Going to Domain Registrars 😶

You may remember my report February this year that discussed ProtonMail's encryption and ties to state agencies.
We've now gotten word that Njal.la (a private domain registrar) was requested by ProtonMail's legal counsel to censor PrivacyWatchdog.io - who was the first to report on ProtonMail's inconsistencies.
Njalla also mentioned that ProtonMail asked for 'all available information regarding its author'.
Are these actions reflective of a company that values free speech and individual privacy?
