Symbiotic Systems, founded by Paul Bhola, is changing the game in indoor farming with narrowband LED technology. Unlike traditional white LEDs that focus on intensity, these lights use specific wavelengths that plants actually respond to — speaking a language they understand.

And plants are listening. In a recent study, basil and cannabis grown under these LEDs produced 5x more beta-caryophyllene, a powerful medicinal compound. Each plant responds to different light cues, so this tech can be optimized by wavelength to encourage faster growth, greater resilience, and enhanced nutritional value.

Rotten and Overpriced: Spanish Airdropped Aid Sparks Outrage in Gaza

Food aid airdropped into Gaza by Spain has reportedly arrived in a rotten state, triggering anger among locals who say even spoiled rations are being resold by merchants at inflated prices — as high as $100 per meal.

Residents describe the aid effort as more of a spectacle than genuine relief. “It’s not enough that the world watches as the Zionists genocide Palestinians and starve them,” one comment read. “When they pull a PR stunt to send 'Aid,' it’s either dropped on tents, killing civilians, or ends up in Israeli-controlled areas.”

For those who do manage to get hold of the rations, they’re often left with food that’s expired, inedible, and outrageously overpriced — deepening frustration in a population already pushed to the brink.

⚡️Update on the Monero Attack

Its been about a week since Qubic started its attack on Monero, which would begin on August 2nd. Although the attack failed to gain its 51% attack over Monero, they've decided to mine Monero regularly.

The attack began with some drama —Qubic claimed their network was hit by a DDoS, slowing the start, although no one has confirmed any evidence of a DDOS attack.

They mined 20% of Monero’s blocks in 24 hours. If you choose to believe it, Qubic’s data shows an all-time-high hashrate of 2.6 GH/s, holding it for ~12 hours—about 35–45% of Monero’s total hashrate.

Monero Research Lab’s Rucknium released a tool to visualize “orphaned blocks”—blocks mined almost at the same time, forcing the network to choose a chain.

⚡️EU Breaks Its Own Law, Forcing Use of Google for Age Verification

The EU just took a major step forward in their Digital ID program with an age verification app now being tested in 5 countries.

It’s pitched as a “private” way to verify your age — but here’s the catch: it recommends Google attestation, meaning it won’t work on alternative or de-Googled phones.

By enforcing this, the app will only run on Google-approved devices, even though this method is less secure. This could force everyone in the EU to use Big Tech phones when using apps tied to the system.
