I'm not convinced that Earth is flat, but I'm open to being convinced. Flat-Earth advocates often come across as militant and binary, relying on logical fallacies, which is off-putting.

1. If you want to persuade someone to change their view, mocking them is a terrible strategy—it only makes them less likely to listen.

2. Pointing out holes in the official narrative doesn't make your position true. If A is false, it doesn't follow that B is true. Everyone knows NASA is theatre, but that doesn't make the flat-Earth argument true.

3. To convince me Earth is flat, provide direct evidence. For instance, if you believe in a dome, show evidence of it. If you claim an ice wall surrounds Earth, provide evidence of the entire wall—not just a photo of a 5 km subsection. Is there really no drone footage of it? How can you claim it exists if you've never seen it?

Put another way, make an argument FOR Earth being flat; not an argument AGAINST Earth being a globe.

I've changed my views on many topics, but only through good arguments.

⚡️Cloudfare Takes Down The Internet; Here’s an Alternative

Cloudflare just had its biggest outage since 2019 — a bug in their bot-scoring system took down nearly 20% of the internet for hours. One company having that much control is a real problem, especially when they can also decide who gets to stay online.

When I find myself caught in the raging storm of life, music always bring me back to center. Part of my muse is the handpan, which I was introduced to by a friend in 2024.

Its a new type of new instrument that evolved from steel drums in the 90s, tonal notes on a metal body that can be played with your hands.

There’s a wonderful sense of depth playing a handpan, there’s more range to the sounds you can make with your hands, and the sound itself can emulate bass, drums, or keys - all truly its own.

During my trip this year to Europe I got the chance to tour the MAG Handpan workshop in Hungary.

We looked at how each Handpans gets forged over 6 months of hard work, with hundreds of hammer strikes to get the tonal fields exactly right.
