A serious bug in One UI 8 Beta. When an app animation is running, if we open an app and immediately tap or swipe, the screen doesn't respond. For example, if I open the Gallery app and try to tap on a photo right away, the screen doesn't register the input. It's actually waiting for the animation to fully finish before executing the touch operation. Samsung has set this process to be serial rather than parallel. We have to wait until the animation completely ends before we can interact with the screen, which really affects efficiency

Google is working on an 'Ambient AOD' feature that shows the lock screen wallpaper on the always-on display

Many Android smartphones can show the lock screen wallpaper on the AOD, but Pixel phones currently cannot. Google experimented with this feature way back with the Pixel 3 but dropped it in future devices.

Now, Google looks to be testing an 'Ambient AOD' feature in Android 16 QPR1 that blurs the lock screen wallpaper and shows it on the AOD. This feature will be optional and controlled by a new "show lock screen wallpaper" setting. However, it may not be available on current Pixels due to a screen flickering problem, so it could be a Pixel 10 exclusive.

Google is working on an 'Enhanced HDR brightness' setting that lets you control how much HDR content brightens your Pixel's screen

This new setting will be found under Settings > Display & touch > Enhanced HDR brightness and includes a toggle to disable HDR support entirely as well as a slider to adjust the HDR effect's intensity. The page includes a standard image and a HDR image to compare the before/after.

This setting isn't available in Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 but will likely be available later.

Delhi's New Vehicle Entry Rule: Only BS-VI CNG Goods Vehicles Allowed from November 2025

Starting November 1, 2025, only BS-VI compliant CNG, LNG, and electric goods vehicles—including light, medium, and heavy vehicles—will be permitted entry into Delhi. However, this restriction does not apply to vehicles already registered in Delhi.

🔑 Key Highlights of the Announcement
🚚 Supreme Court Hearing: The decision was conveyed to the Supreme Court by Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati during a hearing on pollution control measures.
🌱 Pollution Control Measures: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has introduced strict regulations, including:
- Direction 88: Regulating vehicle entry into Delhi.
- Direction 89: Phasing out old, end-of-life vehicles.

🛑 Exemptions: Non-BS VI compliant goods vehicles carrying essential supplies can enter only until October 31, 2026. After that, only CNG, LNG, and electric vehicles will be permitted.

🚗 Crackdown on Old Vehicles:
- Diesel vehicles over 10 years old and petrol vehicles over 15 years old will be phased out.
- Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems will be deployed at fuel stations to deny refueling to non-compliant vehicles.

This move aligns with Delhi’s broader Air Pollution Mitigation Plan 2025, which includes:
✅ Deployment of electric autos
✅ Installation of anti-smog guns
✅ Promotion of artificial rain
