Analysts say these hikes are also part of a broader industry shift toward better monetization and profitability, especially since earlier relief measures and government interventions only partially addressed the financial challenges faced by some operators.
Regulatory changes and the need to keep the sector viable are also pushing companies to raise prices, though entry-level plans may be spared to protect affordability for low-income users.

OPPO group is funny with software animations and blur. Here's why:
Realme P3 (17K) has animations & blur but Realme P3 Pro (24K) doesn't.
OPPO F29 Pro (30K) with D7300 has animations & blur but Realme 14 Pro (25K) with same SoC doesn't.
Realme Narzo 80 Pro (20K) doesn't have animations and blur but the upcoming OPPO K13 (<20K) has.
Ironically, P3 is the cheapest but still has animations which Narzo 80 Pro (20K) and P3 Pro don't (24K)!
Similarly, OnePlus Nord CE 4 missed out on animations but Nord CE 3 and CE 3 Lite had those despite having weaker hardware.
It's a mess, and it's all over the place.
