🗳 Bihar Rolls Out India’s First Mobile-Based E-Voting System
In a landmark move, the Bihar State Election Commission has launched India’s first-ever mobile e-voting system, debuting in the Urban Local Body elections on 28th June 2025.
🔍 What’s New?
Bihar is pioneering a remote voting solution via Android smartphones — aimed at making the electoral process more inclusive, accessible, and technologically secure.
📱 How the System Works
Two dedicated apps will enable the e-voting process:
- “e-Voting SECBHR” – developed by C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing)
- A second app built by the Bihar SEC
Steps for Voters:
1. Register through the app and provide consent
2. Complete identity verification with a live selfie matched against their voter ID photo using AI-powered facial recognition
3. Cast their vote remotely — no need to visit a polling station
👥 Who This Benefits
The system especially empowers:
- Migrant workers
- Elderly citizens
- Persons with disabilities
- Pregnant women
- Patients with serious illnesses
🔐 Security & Transparency Highlights
The technology is packed with advanced safeguards:
- Blockchain-backed infrastructure for secure data integrity
- Live liveness detection ensures real-time presence of the voter
- AI-driven facial match and verification
- Audit trail system, similar to VVPAT, for vote transparency

Nothing Phone 3 :
✅ 5 years OS updates & 7 years security updates
✅ Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
❎ Only 5150mAh (rated)🔋
✅ Main + UW + Telephoto (most likely all 3 are 50MP)
The "True flagship" phone doesn't have flagship SoC
✅ 5 years OS updates & 7 years security updates
✅ Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
❎ Only 5150mAh (rated)🔋
✅ Main + UW + Telephoto (most likely all 3 are 50MP)
The "True flagship" phone doesn't have flagship SoC
Connectivity :
8 Gen 3 - 10Gbps DS*, mmWave, BT 5.4
8s Gen 4 - 4.2Gbps DS*, No mmWave, BT 6 | (Both- WiFi 7)
So, 8 Gen 3 is clearly better !
🔴 GPU : Difference between 8 Gen 3 & 8s Gen 4 GPU is very minor !
Both are very close, no clear winner or loser between two.
🔴
ISP :
8s Gen 4 : Support 320MP
ZSL* at 108MP single & 36MP triple camera ; video 4K 60 fps
RTSS* for photos & videos up to 250 layers
8 Gen 3 : Support 200MP
ZSL* at 108MP single & 36MP triple camera; video 8K 30 fps
RTSS* for photos & videos up to 12 layers
So, 8s Gen 4 is better !
🔴 NPU :
Very less details available on Qualcomm website so can't tell.
But according to some publications 8 Gen 3 has better NPU than 8s Gen 4.
DS = Download Speed
ZSL = Zero Shutter Lag
RTSS = Real Time Semantic Segmentation
So you see, things are not Black & White, like :
GPU : no clear winner
Connectivity : 8 Gen 3 better
ISP : 8s Gen 4 better
8s Gen 4 is more power efficient than 8 Gen 3 , with all those necessary features from 8 Gen 3 !
But, CPU on 8 Gen 3 is still better !
Although,
Heating, camera performance & power consumption highly depends on brands tuning !
Also, Samsung SD 8 Gen 3 mobile support 7 years updates !!
Vodafone Idea’s partnership with AST SpaceMobile has potential.
Here’s why:
AST has already showcased 4G/5G calls from space. The phone didn’t need any hardware upgrade.
It all depends on how this partnership is executed. This can be a genius move from Vi. #vi #vodafoneidea
