Bihar makes history with India’s first mobile-based e-voting system!
In a groundbreaking move, Bihar has become the first state in India to roll out mobile-based e-voting for urban local body elections.
Developed by CDAC and the Bihar State Election Commission, the system is built on two dedicated Android apps and aims to make voting more inclusive and accessible for:
- Senior citizens
- Persons with disabilities (PwDs)
- Pregnant women
- Migrant workers
Pilot launched on June 28 in Buxar municipal by‑polls
download the e-SECBHR app (Android only for now) and register to e-vote!
