Infinix Note 50X Review: There's only one flaw

This phone is the best deal for the vast majority of people at the 10,500 price point.

Yes, extending to the Vivo T4X (with offers) is a much better deal, but not everyone can afford the extra ₹2K-3K at this segment.

1. Multimedia

If you're coming from a phone with a 1080P display & over 326 PPI, you will feel the downgrade in sharpness every time you use the phone.

At 263 PPI, the lack of sharpness is very apparent for images, text, general multimedia, and especially video consumption.

If you have another device (laptop/ tablet/ etc) with a better screen for content consumption, this is serviceable.

The biggest issue with text. Reading a PDF is not a good experience on this; you have to zoom in a fair bit more than usual to get sharper text.

If you're a student and you make use of your phone for reading PDFs sometimes, this will not work that well.

Colour science is not really a problem, & outdoor brightness is okay for the price, so are viewing angles.

The resolution is extremely poor; let's not sugarcoat that.

Haptics are, again, sub-par, but u won't complain about it. It's 10,500. You can turn them off or reduce the intensity (for the keyboard).

& for the price, the speakers are decently loud, just don't cross 70%. Vocals get a bit shrill, sharper instruments are too treble-heavy.

2. Cameras

The primary camera (the only one) uses the Samsung JN1 (50MP 1/2.76") sensor, with f/1.6 aperture.

It does not feature OIS. The front camera is an 8MP sensor.

Overall, the images are serviceable for this price segment, but keep expectations in check. JN1 is JN1.

General low-light photography (not extreme low-light) is genuinely surprisingly good, for this segment

It takes fairly usable photos

For product photography, close-ups are strictly average with poor details, and a lot of weird sharpness, but that's expected

You can still take decent product photos
