🇮🇳 Indian Railways’ New Strict Luggage Rules
Effective Soon at Select Stations — Moving Toward Airport‑Style Checks

---

📋 What’s Changing

- Mandatory Weight Checks → Every passenger’s luggage will be weighed at station entry points.
- Airport‑Style Scanning → Bags will be screened through electronic scanners at entry/exit gates.
- Penalty for Overlimit → Exceed your baggage limit and you’ll pay extra fees or face penalties.
- Size Matters Too → Oversized items may attract charges even if under the weight limit.

---

🗺️ Initial Rollout Locations

Phase 1: 11 major stations in Northern & North Central Railway zones, including:

- Prayagraj Junction
- Kanpur Central
- Mirzapur
- Tundla
- Aligarh Junction
- Etawah
(More to be added after trial run)

---

⚖️ Free Luggage Allowance by Class

- AC First Class
- Free limit: 70 kg
- Extra allowance: +15 kg
- Parcel van booking: Up to 65 kg

- AC 2‑Tier
- Free limit: 50 kg
- Extra allowance: +10 kg
- Parcel van booking: Up to 30 kg

- AC 3‑Tier / Sleeper Class
- Free limit: 40 kg
- No extra allowance
- Parcel van booking: Not available

- General Class
- Free limit: 35 kg
- No extra allowance
- Parcel van booking: Not available

> Note: Even if your bags are within the weight limit, you may face penalties if their dimensions exceed the allowed size.

---

🎯 Why the Change

- Passenger Comfort → Avoid clutter and ensure more space in coaches.
- Operational Efficiency → Speed up boarding and reduce delays.
- Revenue Boost → Excess luggage fees add to earnings.
- Peak Season Control → Manage crowding during festivals and holidays.

---

What You Should Do

Arrive Early to clear weighing & scanning.
Know Your Class Limit before packing.
Book Parcel Space in advance for bulky/excess items.

⚠️ BIG Privacy Scare! ⚠️

In a Telegram group, someone is leaking phone numbers, addresses & even Aadhaar details of users.

Calls are coming from +91 1204775147, which seems linked to shady Telegram bots / Airtel data misuse

The best launches from realme in a long while.

The pricing is on point, especially for realme P4 (which is a no-brainer deal if you can trust realme devices).

Realme P4 Pro is also well-priced but it faces competition from their own P3 Ultra in the short term.
