Here's the first look at a Pixel 7a in Arctic Blue in its box, it's color is similar to the Kinda Blue Pixel 2 with the visor switching colors from Silver to Blue depending on the lighting.
The device features a Google asset tag, which leads us to believe it's a prototype of some sort, maybe DVT? (check out @GoogleInternal if you're interested in seeing more prototypes)

Microsoft Designer, an AI-powered design tool, has launched in public preview with expanded features.
Announced in October, Designer is a Canva rival web app that can generate designs for presentations, posters, digital postcards, invitations, graphics and more to share on social media and other channels
Features:
• It leverages user-created content
• Uses DALL-E 2 to ideate designs
• Ability to generate written captions and hashtags for social media posts
• It can create animated visuals, complete with backgrounds and text transitions
Upcoming Features:
• Editing Features: "Erase"
• Replace background" options like Pixel's Magic Eraser
• Automated object placement and picture fill in Designer
Designer will remain FREE during the public preview and also available in Microsoft Edge browser

OnePlus Pad is a flagships Tablet and costs ~ 500$ as well
It offers:
• 11.6" 2.8K IPS LCD display

An in-display fingerprint sensor “is not as natural” and that a side-mounted fingerprint sensor “is also not that efficient” as the reasons for excluding secure biometrics.

A New Bing Ad next to the Google Bard URL has been spotted in a developer release of Microsoft’s Edge browser.
This Bing Ad ONLY appears when users will use Google Bard on Microsoft Edge instead of Bing Chatbot
The Bing AI ad says: “compare answers with the AI-powered new Bing” .
When clicked Microsoft Edge will open up in split screen view wherein One side Bard answers will be showcased and on other side Bing AI powered by OpenAI GPT 4 answers would be written.
Its a pretty clever move from Microsoft to get users to use Bing AI more than Google Bard as it will showcase real-time comparison of who's answers are better and accurate

MediaTek is launching new chips under Dimensity 6000,7000,8000 series which are nothing just rebranding of 2021 chips now being launched again in 2023.
Dimensity 8050 = D1300 = D1200
Dimensity 8020 = D1100
Dimensity 7050 = D1080
Dimensity 7020 = D930 with LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.1 storage

Indian Government banned some messenger apps due to their use by terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir to communicate with supporters in Pakistan and influence the youth in the region with terrorist propaganda.
Apps include: Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second line, Zangi, Threema etc
The messaging apps were found installed on smartphones that were recovered from terrorists killed in operations
Apps like MediaFire, Element are used worldwide because they offer heavy encryption which gives privacy and anonymity to users making it difficult to access the content.
Element is even an OPEN-SOURCE app
Indian government found that the apps did not have representatives in India. Agencies tried to contact app management to seek information, but there was no office in India to reach out to.

World’s First Satellite Call using a normal phone happened
A company called AST SpaceMobile, in partnership with AT&T, just made history by making a satellite call using the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which doesn’t have any special capability like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip or Snapdragon modems like X70 or X65
The call was made from Texas,US to another phone in Japan.
The signal originating from Texas went from a Galaxy S22 Ultra to a BlueWalker 3 satellite, where it then came back down to Japan to another smartphone. Unspecified AT&T spectrum acted as a middle-man, which is the reason why the phones themselves didn’t need to be modified for this to work.
This means, ANY LTE-capable phone can do this
In short, this proved that you DO NOT need any special Snapdragon component for making satellite calls which Qualcomm and iPhones boasts
In future, every smartphone could send/receive calls, SMS and use mobile data even in remote areas without expensive cellular tower infrastructure
