Google Photos gains Magic Editor using Generative AI

Google has showed off the latest feature that will be available in the Google Photos app during Google I/O 2023.

Using generative AI, Magic Editor will let you edit photos so you can reposition objects, move people, make the sky brighter and less cloudy or remove a bag strap you forgot to take off.

The feature will be available later this year on select Pixel devices.

Google has announced several changes and enhancements to their Large Language Model (LLM), Bard. The updates include:

• Bard is now powered by the more powerful PaLM 2
• Dark mode is now available in Bard
• Bard can code in over 20 programming languages and can help you debug and explain the code. It will also cite the code it got from
• Results in Bard can now show images from Google search
• Users can prompt Bard with images.
• Image analysis in Bard is powered by Google Lens.
• Bard now supports Gmail and Google Docs export with formatting, and integrates with Google Maps.
• Bard is now open to everyone in over 180 countries
• Bard gains extensions from Instacart, Indeed, and other platforms, including Adobe Firefly for image generation.
• Bard now supports Japanese and Korean languages, with plans to support 40 languages in the future.

Later, Bard will transition to Google DeepMind’s Gemini model.

Google supercharges searches with their Labs experiments

Google has showed off the brand new AI-powered features in the search on Desktop and Mobile. You can search and have all the information in one place, so you can find a bike that fits your requirements and order one from stores with the best price.

Afterwards, you can ask follow-up questions in the brand new conversational mode similar to Bing AI, which will let you get more information using the previous contexts.

Wear OS 4 has been announced with many new additions like Watch Face Format

This is not the end of what Google has prepared for this years' I/O. They have announced the Wear OS 4 with many new features, including:

The Watch Face Format has been made with Samsung for developers to have an easier way to develop watch faces. It won't require programming APK's as Wear OS will render the watch face so developers have less things to worry about as the watch faces will be more power-efficient.

Wear OS 4 will also extend battery life and let you back up and restore your watch without factory resetting the watch (finally 😁). It will also bring new and improved accessibility features like text-to-speech.

The developer preview and emulator images for Wear OS 4 are available today, and it'll come to consumers later this year.
