Lossless Audio Quality and Customisable Themes are coming to Spotify

Spotify is preparing a new subnoscription that will include "HiFi" Lossless audio quality. This new subnoscription Spotify announced 2 years ago in 2021 and it's finally coming at the end of 2023.

Rivals Amazon Music, Apple Music and Tidal already have lossless audio quality option and do NOT charge extra for it

The pricing is currently unknown but internally its named as "Supremium"

Spotify will also add Customizable Themes to its premium subnoscription.
The company is sending users a survey that showcased new colors for the app and logo while asking its feedback

Mockups shown in survey included Gold-Black, Gold-Green and Gold-Purple combinations.

So instead of adding Material You support to theme Spotify based on wallpaper colors for Free, they decided to add in its Premium tier

Nothing Smartwatch certified at BIS

Nothing is working on a smartwatch and that has already appeared on Indian BIS certification site with model numer D395

Nothing also filed for a trademark, dubbed as ‘CMF by Nothing’ months ago which turned out to be watch category

Its unlikely that smartwatch will debut alongside Phone 2 as its currently under development

Nothing CEO, Carl Pei purchased the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro just to learn about smartwatches and then said that smartwatch is “useless”.

And now he himself is developing a smartwatch which is useless acc to him

Pixel 8 series to support Desktop Mode

A source inside Google tipped Kamila Wojciechowska that the Pixel 8 series will support USB DisplayPort alternate mode which would allow you to connect displays using USB-C.

This feature could be used for a Desktop Mode, similar to Samsung's DeX or Motorola's Ready To feature.

While Android already has some support for the desktop mode, Mishaal Rahmann has discovered improvements to it in the launcher code found in recent Android 14 betas. He also spotted support for USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Nothing Phone 1 and 2 will get Custom ringtones with Glyph lighting

Nothing has teased a "Glyph composer" wherein users can create their own 8-10 seconds long “Glyph Ringtone.” For this feature, Nothing has teamed up with music group Swedish House Mafia for a sound pack

Phone 2 will have LESS individual glyph lights on the back compared to Phone 1.

Phone 2 teased in the video shows that the back matches exactly with renders which Carl Pei said "Fake".
Only difference yet is Phone 2 will come with centered Punch Hole selfie camera instead of Corner punch hole

Indian smartphones brands Micromax, Karbonn & Lava making a comeback again

Once popular Indian mobile phone brands -- Micromax, Karbonn and Lava are planning to re-enter India smartphone market in entry level 10,000 (~125$) budget segment

Chinese brands are under government pressure and have also mostly vacated budget smartphone market making people forced to buy refurbished models or on EMIs

Karbonn might launch its smartphones at 5,000 (~65$) and Micromax at 6,000 (~75$) and Lava will launch 5G smartphones under 125$
Micromax is even in talks with telecom operators to bundle the handset that will make it available to public for even more cheap

Also,Micromax will NOT play the pricing game with Low Hardware specifications for quick market share gain.
Instead it will launch quality models with good hardware at affordable price

These brands comeback will help poor people and students buy smartphones with decent hardware at low prices
