Rest in Hell MIUI
MIUI 14 will be the LAST official major version of MIUI. Xiaomi 14 series will debut with Xiaomi's brand new software aka the "MiOS"
So, after rebranding Single Xiaomi smartphone to 69 other smartphones, Xiaomi is now rebranding its software aka MIUI
MiOS could be just another rebranded MIUI 15 LOL
Now if that doesn't happens, MiOS would be just another fork of Android which is made by Google, that Xiaomi would claim it as "their own" LOL
That's because MiOS will support AOSP for sure
MIUI: 2010 ~ 2023 🪦
You will NOT be remembered. BURN in HELL
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will launch on 24th October globally and Xiaomi 14 Series will debut on 31st October in China

Google Pixel 8a Renders
Source
Pixel 8a will pack a 6.1" OLED Flat Display and will be slimmer than Pixel 7a.
Pixel 8a will be powered by Google Tensor G3 chip and is codenamed as "Akita"
Dimensions measure as 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm.
Note: Pixel 8a is still in EVT stages
Also, since the Pixel 8a launch will depend upon Pixel 7a sales which are pretty bad because of price gap b/w Pixel 7a and Pixel 7, there are chances that Google may not launch Pixel 8a at all

The Pixel 8 is the first phone to capture photos in Ultra HDR, a new format that I think could be the future of mobile photography!
Ultra HDR is something you really need to see to understand, though, so I worked with Dylan Raga to put together a demo that shows it off. The results are STUNNING!
If you're using a Chromium-based browser on a PC running Windows 11/macOS with an HDR display or on a Pixel 7 running Android 14, then you can see these Ultra HDR samples in their full glory by going to the GitHub repo linked in my latest article for Android Police.
On Wednesday, you're going to see a lot of reviews of the Pixel 8 series go up. Unfortunately, since platform support for Ultra HDR is so limited, many of those reviews will be unable to showcase the photos taken from the phone in their full glory.
Most social media sites and CMSes compress images, which will result in the HDR gain map being removed from the Ultra HDR .jpg. Even Windows File Explorer corrupts the metadata when you simply edit the EXIF tags!
Oh, and the photos I took were all from a Pixel 6 Pro using Google Camera 9.1 (pulled from a Pixel 8). This means that yes, certain older Pixels are able to capture in Ultra HDR as well.

The Tensor G3 in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro supports Memory Tagging Extension (MTE) and also exposes it to the bootloader!
However, MTE is disabled by default and needs to be enabled by going to Settings > System > Developer options > Memory Tagging Extension.
(Thanks to my anonymous tipster for checking that the MTE toggle is there in Developer Options on their Pixel 8!)
However, Android 14's new "advanced memory protection" toggle under Settings > Security & privacy > More security & privacy isn't accessible by default on the Pixel 8 series. This page has to be manually surfaced by setting a certain system property.
Google is likely making MTE opt-in on the Pixel 8 series because of the slight performance penalty it brings when enabled. If I remember correctly, there's a CPU overhead of about 5% when this is enabled.
For more info on MTE and Android 14's new "advanced memory protection" feature, check out this article.

Nothing Teases Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 based on Android 14
Today, Nothing on twitter teased the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 based on Android 14 for Nothing Phone (2) users.
But, 1 month ago only someone on reddit leaked the Nothing OS 2.5 build look LOL and the screenshots are attached above
Most important change in the Nothing OS is the QS tiles wherein Carl Pei changed the look of Wi-Fi & Bluetooth (Bo*ba look) to square one (Minecraft look)
Other "main" updates mentioned in the changelog are just Android 14 features that Google added

Carl Pei: We Can't Beat iPhones, So We Make Cases!
Nothing has done it again! They've taken 'thinking outside the box' to a whole new level by 'thinking outside the phone'
Carl Pei collaborated with Casetify to develop ... 🥁 ... NOTHING-branded iPhone cases!
It's like saying, 'We CANNOT make a smartphone as good as an iPhone but we'll put our branding on it.'
Ironically Casetify NEVER made cases for Nothing smartphones. They only made for Samsung smartphones, Google Pixels and iPhones.
So even after partnering with Casetify to make cases for Nothing users instead, Carl Pei made cases for iPhones
I wonder if there's someone out there who'll proudly slap a 'Nothing' case on their iPhones even?
Or maybe Carl Pei wanna convey, "Nothing is what you get when you buy my products?"
Honestly, this is such a CRINGE marketing move by Nothing
