Apple pulls back iOS 17.3 beta after it bricked iPhones

Apple rolled out its iOS 17.3 beta 2 update, but then it was pulled back because some users reported that their iPhones got bricked after applying the new version of the OS.

While attempting to install iOS 17.3 beta 2, the iPhones entered an infinite bootloop with the Apple logo and SpringBoard spinner.
Mostly all iPhones including the latest 15 series were affected

It is believed that the crash appears to be affecting people who have Back Tap enabled on their iPhones

Microsoft announces dedicated Copilot key for Windows PCs

Microsoft is adding a dedicated Copilot key to PC keyboards, adjusting the standard Windows keyboard layout for the first time since the Windows key first appeared on its Natural Keyboard in 1994.

The Copilot key will open up the Copilot generative AI assistant within Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Currently, you need to press Windows Key + C to activate the copilot (if enabled) through the keyboard

The Copilot key is placed between the arrow keys and the right Alt button replacing the right Ctrl Key
It’s in the same spot where Microsoft added a dedicated Office key to its own keyboards in 2019.

Introducing Clicks for iPhone keyboard case

A new company called Clicks Technology started by Youtuber MrMobile (Michael Fisher) and CrackBerry Kevin has announced "Clicks", which is a BlackBerry-style iPhone keyboard case

Clicks doesn’t use Bluetooth, nor does it contain a battery.
Instead, it draws power directly from the phone

The team that created Clicks includes former employees from Apple, BlackBerry, and Google.
Clicks is priced at 139$

Acc to Verge, it’s got other features of computer keyboards, including a backlight.
And because it’s for iPhones, a CMD key too.

Why does it have a CMD key?
Did you know you can type CMD + H to go to the homescreen or CMD + the space key to open a search on an iPhone

Your smartphone screen could be made out of wood instead of glass

Most device displays are made up of either Glass or plastic and in very rare cases, sapphire

But now, researchers are currently working on "transparent wood" for smartphone screens and other uses.

A 'millimeter-thick' sheets of transparent wood allow 80% to 90% of light to pass through.
However, this light transmittance starts dropping the closer the sheet gets to a centimeter' thick.

Additionally, researchers found out that, under pressure, transparent wood is 3x stronger than Plexiglass and 10x stronger than glass.

Redmi Note 13 Pro variant is approximately 125$ more costly in India compared to China pricing even after its "Made in India" smartphone

Xiaomi India has already paid the Twitter guys to justify the price of the Redmi Note 13 series and as usual Xiaomi die-hard fans like That_Kartikey on Twitter (@sarish81 on telegram) are quiet

I wonder if this brand has some ethics or it just doesn't really care about its reputation and can go to any extent just to sell its garbage

Funfact: Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus comes with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and it got scratched at just level 4 in the durability test!

Seems like apart from overpricing, and then using creep moves to justify it, Xiaomi is also using pathetic quality materials in the Note 13 series

Rumour: Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in India

Samsung S24 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy worldwide.
But the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will be powered by Exynos 2400 in most countries and by Snapdragon in the USA

Now, it's been rumored that Samsung will offer the Snapdragon variant of S24+ in India instead of the Exynos variant.
This leaves Galaxy S24 using Exynos 2400 SoC

Interestingly, Exynos 2400 is giving tough competition to Snapdragon this time
