OnePlus 12R also has QC issues

Previously, we saw that OnePlus 12 with QC issues as some units had gaps b/w the OnePlus 12 camera housing & its body.

Even though it is IP65 rated, the issues led to a dead mosquito inside the OnePlus 12 body

Now OnePlus 12R has been announced 1 month later than OnePlus 12 and Chinese reviewers have spotted Glue issues on OnePlus Ace 3/OnePlus 12R just like OnePlus 12

Funfact: OnePlus 12R has NO IP Rating 💀
In other words, OnePlus 12R has NOT been IP-certified even

Xiaomi did the same anyway as the Redmi K70 series got the NO IP Rating at all.
So, the Poco F6 Pro will NOT be IP certified either

OnePlus and Xiaomi both did this for cost-cutting as certifying & verifying IP rating costs money

Remember: If something is CHEAP, the quality is also CHEAP

OnePlus Open users Report Screen Issues

Numerous OnePlus Open users have taken to social media platforms and Reddit to report issues with their devices, specifically highlighting black patches or dead pixels on the inner screen.

Many YouTubers highlighted the OnePlus Open as the BEST Foldable yet which no doubt it is due to structural build quality and powerful cameras but NO Youtuber yet commented anything about its display quality

The display of the OnePlus Open isn't very durable as many OnePlus Open units seem to have been affected which is NOT the case with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 even though both of them use Samsung UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass)

OnePlus still has NOT yet issued an official statement addressing these concerns as it addressed with OnePlus 12 QC issues

Here are my first impressions of the new ROG Phone 8 Pro:

* It feels so much lighter, thinner, and better in hand than the previous models!

* The bezels are also much smaller, and the back has this nice textured layer that you can see but not feel underneath the glass.

* The corners are not nearly as sharp anymore! Holding the phone on a corner no longer hurts my palms.

* There's a neat AI wallpaper feature like on the Pixel 8 series. Like Google's version, you can choose from a few preset topics and also edit the prompt a bit (change the background, tone, and "inspiration"). Unlike Google's version, ASUS' AI wallpaper generator runs on-device using a Stable Diffusion model on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Here's a video demo.

* Another neat use of AI on the ROG Phone 8 is semantic search. This also runs on-device and helps you search through your photos, settings, and apps. Here's a video demo.

* If you aren't a fan of the AOD but still like getting subtle notification alerts, the new "custom effect" option is for you. This displays notification icons on the AOD in the top left when the phone is charging. The ROG Phone 8 doesn't have a notification LED anymore, so this is useful if you don't want to use the full AOD.

* Contrary to some rumors, the AirTriggers feature hasn't been removed.
