Gorilla Glass Victus on Redmi Note 13 Pro+ scratches at just level 4!
Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus comes with an AMOLED Display with a so-called 12-bit color depth and a Corning Gorilla Victus Glass 1 for protection
In the durability test by an Indian reviewer, Redmi Note 13 pro+ gets scratches at level 4 only!
Although, it's NOT the Victus 2, BUT the other smartphones that got Victus 1 scratches at level 6 with deeper groves at level 7
FunFact: Even the Gorilla Glass 3 scratches at Level 6 with deeper grooves at Level 7
Another Indian reviewer, Geeky Ranjit confirmed in his review that the glass on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ scratches easily too
This is the quality of the product Xiaomi offers for cheap as some people say they buy Xiaomi just for custom ROMs and good hardware 🤓
Remember: If something is cheap, quality is cheap as well which CANNOT be fixed by flashing custom ROMs!

Infinix unveils E-color shift technology for color-changing back panel
At the CES 2024 tech exhibition, Infinix showcased the E-Color Shift that allows the rear panels of smartphones to change and maintain vibrant colors without consuming power
E-Color Shift technology, featuring E-Ink Prism 3, uses electric charges to cause microstructures in the panel to change their color, similar to how an E-Ink screen works.
And just like an E Ink screen, it only uses power when changing colors
In short, you can change the phone’s back to a particular color and have it stay that way for as long as you like without draining the battery.
It even has the possibility of rapidly animating these color changes while charging the phone, presuming you like to put it down flat on its face.

Rabbit R1 AI-powered Pocket Assistant Announced
A US-based startup at CES 2024 announced Rabbit R1 which is a pocket-sized AI assistant that runs on RabbitOS
Instead of ChatGPT, Rabbit R1 uses a "Large Action Model" (LAM), trained by humans interacting with apps like Spotify & Uber, essentially showing the model how they work
Rather than build a bunch of APIs & try to convince developers to support the R1, Rabbit R1 can be trained to study app interactions using AI & then perform them on your behalf.
Thus, this AI device has been designed to replace the use of apps with a cloud-based solution that can order food, send/ receive messages, book a taxi, play music WITHOUT interacting with a traditional smartphone app.
It can connect to your Spotify, uber etc. accounts too
Specs:
• 2.88-inch touchscreen display
• 2.3GHz MediaTek chipset
• 4GB RAM; 128GB storage
• Wi-Fi; 4G
• 360-degree rotating camera; video calls
• Privacy mode
• 1000mAh battery; USB-C port

Samsung showcases World's first Transparent Micro LED display
Samsung demoed the World's First transparent Micro LED screen at CES 2024 that “blurs the boundaries between content and reality”.
The panel has a see-through display that allows you to view content and see what is going on behind the screen as well
The panel looks like glass, as Micro LED chips are printed on a piece of glass with precision manufacturing processes that eliminate seams and refractions.
Transparent MicroLED displays have higher brightness compared to transparent OLED panels and thus they are also less impacted by ambient light.
The product is a result of 6yrs of research and development

OnePlus 12 Indian pricing leaked 👀
OnePlus 12 price was live on Amazon India for a short and a tipster managed to grab a screenshot
There is NO 8GB RAM this time, so the base variant is 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and OnePlus might price it at Rs.70,000 (~845$) in India
Take this with a pinch of salt considering OnePlus will price it at 800$ Globally and Indian prices are generally lower than global prices
But since it is BBK, they might do!

Vibrator with music sync showcased at CES 2024
At CES 2023, Interactive Masturbator called 'Handy', developed by Ohdoki was showcased.
It's marketed as “Masturbation powered by the internet” as you can pair it with content.
Now, Ohdoki showcased a Bluetooth-enabled vibrator calledthe "Oh!".
What makes it different is how it vibrates.
Most vibrators are simple unbalanced motors attached to circuit boards & batteries, encased in a cylinder. Meanwhile, the Oh! uses the same linear resonant actuator (LRA) motor as in a PlayStation controller.
LRA motors work similarly to how speakers create sound waves.
Frequency indicates how fast the Oh! vibrates, while amplitude controls the intensity.
Also, the Oh! can be used with various content platforms like Spotify.
if you hold it near your ear, you can hear the song & feel the Oh! vibrate in sync with the music
Ohdoki wants to build its very own "Handyverse"
Sex tech might feel weird but CES is a show about "innovation"

Debunking Battery Myths: FAST Charging
1)Lithium batteries do BETTER when heated, and degrade LESS:
https://www.cell.com/joule/fulltext/S2542-4351(19)30481-7
2) Some vendors advertise the wall AC charger power, not the actual cell charge power. Ex Xiaomi's 120W charging only achieves 97W.
3) The battery % you see is not the actual %, This is fuzzy logic to prohibit you from always charging to true 100%.
4) Because of above, you need to compute real percentages based on total energy charged in, this completely changes some data.
5) Clickbait charging articles is why we have Chinese vendors lying through their teeth in regards to charging and end up with a race-to-the-bottom situation. Fast charging is still very detrimental to your battery.
6) Apple, Samsung & Google don't do *not because they can't*, but because they have ethics and huge user-bases and weighed in the pros- and cons-, and the cons far outbalance the pros. Don't fall for the other vendors' marketing nonsense.
