Sony PlayStation 6 Release Date

The once confidential document is now available to the public because of continued probe by UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on pending Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion deal

Sony plans to release the PS6 has been redacted, but the statement hints at PS6 will be released in 2027 at least.
Sony is also working on a PS5 slim & a PS5 detachable disc drive.

Sony is against this acquisition due to concerns of Call of Duty becoming an Xbox exclusive & will harm competition.
Microsoft said that “it increases competition in a market that Sony has long dominated"

CMA said that impact will be felt starting next generation consoles & Microsoft said this event occurs in every 8yrs & next generation consoles won't be out before 2028 fall

Microsoft has made a contractual offer to Sony that would keep Call of Duty on PlayStation “through at least the end of 2027”

For display, Sony might use it for native 4K60FPS recording
