The Google app icon is now bigger on Android
Beta version 17.0 of the Google app on Android comes with an increase in the size of the app icon.
This tweak in the beta channel sees the gradient ‘G’ expand a tiny amount to better fill the container. The update addresses how the initial gradient revision in May shrank the icon.

This might be old news to some, but did you know that Windows Snipping Tool has a flippin' Text Extractor built in?
Hit Win+Shift+T (not S) to access it.
It can also be accessed from inside Snipping Tool itself after you take a screenshot.

BREAKING: Google will release the source code to AOSP only 2 times a year
After previously delaying the September QPR 1 AOSP source code release by almost 2 months, Google has now announced that it will release the source code to AOSP every 6 months only i.e in Q2 and Q4.
"Effective in 2026, to align with our trunk-stable development model and ensure platform stability for the ecosystem, we will publish source code to AOSP in Q2 and Q4. For building and contributing to AOSP, we recommend utilizing android-latest-release instead of aosp-main. The android-latest-release manifest branch will always reference the most recent release pushed to AOSP. For more information, see Changes to AOSP.”

In other words, this means that Android 16 QPR 3 aka March update source code will not be pushed to AOSP and neither will be the Android 17 September 2026 source code.
That's one way to kill AOSP though.
Android will get killed by developer verification and sooner or later, most of the apps will start utilising all the optional security features of Android for NO reason, like ChatGPT and banking apps do -- "This App will not work as it's not installed from playstore", thus essentially killing sideloading.
This means Android will slowly turn into iOS and the only major difference b/w them would be about heavy customisation in Android 🥀

This means that GrapheneOS will not be able to flex "most secure" anymore as they will also get the security updates after 6 months when Google will release it to AOSP .....unless their partner brand [redacted] provides them.

Security updates will continue to be released monthly ?
A Google spokesperson told Android Authority that:
"Process for security patch releases will not change and that the company will keep publishing security patches each month on a dedicated security-only branch for relevant OS releases just as it does today. "

Apparently E-ink cases are a thing!
A friend of mine bought E-ink cases that are available for iPhone and Samsung devices with built in e-ink display and with images transfer and power completely over NFC (comes with an app).
Very cool to switch the photos everytime without getting bored and costs just 25$
