We are pleased to announce the launch of a new ZetaChain incentivized testnet called "Athens-3". This is a huge step in the development of ZetaChain, an L1 blockchain that enables universal cryptocurrency interoperability by supporting [Omnichannel Smart Contracts].

For this test network, we are initially looking for participants with 1.) a solid understanding of running and managing nodes/validators for Cosmos SDK-based circuits and/or 2.) developers and technical testers with experience deploying EVM-compatible smart contracts and testing in battle protocols like ZetaChain.

Phases for this test network include the following:

Phase 1: Validator and network genesis.
Phase 2: Stress and scenario testing.
Phase 3: Security-centric combat testing.
Phase 4: Maintenance and long-term network planning.

We will encourage approved and eligible participants who actively participate in the testnet. More information on program milestones, goals, incentives, and exact timelines will be published as the network develops.
