Some Android users (i.g. Oppo/Realme/Vivo) reported that their Telegram app auto download media to their gallery.
They already go to the Settings and toggle off the setting as usual but still the media auto-downloaded to their gallery.

How to fix

1️⃣ Open a file manager app (i.g. Amaze File Manager, Solid Explorer). Go to Internal Storage > Telegram > Telegram Audio/Documents/Images/Video

2️⃣ Create a “.nomedia” file using file manager in those folder.

You can choose chats and types of chats for custom folder
• Default recommended folder: Unread (new messages from important chats).
• Filters for Included Chats: Contacts, Non-Contacts, Groups, Channels, Bots
• Filters for Excluded Chats: Muted, Read, Archived

Tips:
If you don’t want your archived chats appear in the folder, then add 'Archived' in the 'Excluded Chats' filter

🗂 Chat Folders

If you have too many chats, you can now separate fun from work, or family stuff from school stuff – then swipe between the tabs to quickly access any of your chats.
You can include or exclude all chats of a particular type, like Channels, or Unread – or one by one.

Folders become available in the interface when your chat list is long enough to start getting cluttered. Alternatively, you may use this tg://settings/folders in your Android and Desktop app to enable Chat Folders, or long press the Chats icon on iOS, and right click the Chats icon on macOS app.

Unlimited Pins
Each of your folders can have as many pinned chats as you like.

📥 Archived Chats

Chat Folders work best to make some of your chats more visible. If you're looking to hide some of your chats from view, try archiving them instead.
Swipe left on a chat to transfer it to your archived chats folder. Muted chats will stay archived forever.
On Android, if you are already using Folders, swiping will not work for archiving. Instead, you can long press on a chat to open the bulk actions menu where you can select multiple chats and then pin, mute, archive or delete them all at once.

You can hide the archive by swiping left on it. See it again by dragging the screen down.

🗂 Desktop Sync

Like everything on Telegram (except for Secret Chats), your Chat Folders will seamlessly sync to all your other connected apps, including our Desktop Apps.

Thanks to the extra space available on your computer screen, Telegram Desktop added a folder sidebar – as well as some icons to make your folders more recognizable.

📊 Channel Stats

If you have a channel with more than 1000 500 subscribers (update), you can now view detailed statistics about its growth and the performance of its posts.
With this information, owner and admin can find out what‘s working and what’s working really well.

Note: Stats are rolling out gradually, you may need to wait a little for them to appear.
