This was one of my favorite movies when I was in highschool but I think it was partly because saying I like this esoteric movie was gonna make me look cool, I love this movie now not because it makes me look cool when I say I like it. This movie is slow, every scene lasts a lifetime to a person with bad attention span and yet I watch and analyze every scene cause it's just beautiful. No one does it like Wong kar wai!!!

Spoiler for mouthwashing and silent hill 2
Controversial but I believe Jimmy's character is partly similar to James from silent hill, in both games we're playing as the villan that believes he's not in the wrong yet he's the cause of everything that has happened and both games do a great job at depicting these characters as the good guy until it clicks for the player
