A new study suggests that almost half of those hospitalized with COVID-19 have mild or asymptomatic cases.

Over-capacity hospitals is nothing new, at all. It's a problem that's been happening for many years prior to COVID. Even crowded at full ICUs were quite common. The problem is not COVID. COVID simply added to an already existing problem. Hospitals being overwhelmed has become a marketing tool for big pharm.
