Video
Lot of comments(only 2) have pointed out some issues with this video. I definitely agree, it's an *interesting* take. Ultimately, what the point is: veganism in practice is not just the lack of consuming animal produce, but the lack of using it entirely. It is also the spreading of veganism, as to not spread it is to go against it's ideology by promoting continuation of letting animals suffer. This means that quite often, vegans behave quite hostile towards indigenous groups for not subscribing to their ideology. That is, by all accounts and definitions, vegans partake in colonization by telling indigenous groups they cannot partake in their animist practices that have persisted for thousands of years. Veganism as an idea also stems from modern Western ideology that dismisses animist ideas about reciprocation etc. Ultimately, being a vegan is an odd spectrum between going against the ideology by not being vegan enough, or colonizing and supporting cultural erasure and loss of animist perspective in the world. Vegetarianism however is much different, and has been practiced by cultures across the world many times in history(namely in India, see: Emperor Ahsoka etc)

"The Future Is Mutual Aid"

Exercises on radical kindness:
Cultivate the habit of asking yourself - when was the last time I practiced mutual aid this week? How can I do it again next week? Am I waiting for someone to ask for help or can I get used to offer it first?

molly costello the land loves us back
So, I've talked about the book Braiding Sweetgrass a number of times, and I cannot stress how healing it is to read about how the land loves us back. My absolute favorite chapter in that book is "Epiphany in the Beans," and I keep some quotes from that chapter nice and close for when I need them.
"People often ask me what one thing I would recommend to restore relationship between land and people. My answer is almost always, ‘Plant a garden.’ It’s good for the health of the earth and it’s good for the health of people. A garden is a nursery for nurturing connection, the soil for cultivation of practical reverence. And its power goes far beyond the garden gate – once you develop a relationship with a little patch of earth, it becomes a seed itself. Something essential happens in a vegetable garden. It’s a place where if you can’t say ‘I love you’ out loud, you can say it in seeds. And the land will reciprocate, in beans." (Kimmerer 122)

What Can You Build WITHOUT Planning Permission? (UK)
What can you build without planning permission? In this video we discuss mobile structures, permanent non-residential buildings and permanent residential buildings. What permitted development rights can you use to build on your land without planning permission?…

Remember to continue to research local laws and consult experts before performing such actions, ignorance of the law does not excuse one from the law, and penalties regarding illegal building can be scary.
On the contrary, TIL this is apparently irregular and uncommon.
