In the video above noscriptd “How to spoon” published by user 5 gum, we can observe young Anakin Skywalker speaking with his master and fellow Jedi Knight, Obi Wan Kenobi. Contrary to the audience’s expectations and through the use of fabricated closed captioning and voice over, Anakin outlines to Obi Wan instructions on how to spoon. Anakin is calm in his demeanor, but relays to Obi Wan his message in a series of short phrases akin to that of a How-to article or short recipe one might find online. Obi Wan is stunned by Anakin’s behavior, presumably because in face-to-face conversation we do not speak in incomplete phrases rather we try to communicate in complete sentences. Astonished by Anakin’s incoherent babbling, Obi Wan responds saying “What?” In an increasingly frustrated tone, Anakin repeats himself once again, and not making any effort to clarify his instructions. Obi Wan, still unable to comprehend Anakin, responds with a simple “What?”. At this point, Anakin is beyond infuriated at Obi Wan’s inability to understand him. He once again, repeats his exact instructions but this time with ear-piercing screams and an unbridled rage. Obi Wan, in awe of Anakin’s actions and in an act of complete desperation, answers Anakin saying “What?” before the video closes.
Although it may not seem like it, 5 gum’s YouTube video “How to spoon” teaches us an important lesson in communication. Everyday we are constantly communicating with others whether it is via text, e-mail, video call, or face-to-face like Anakin and Obi Wan. In an age where information is shared near instantaneously it can be difficult to keep up or even trust the barrage of messages being shared to us at a given time. Anakin and Obi Wan’s dramatic breakdown of basic communication serves as an example of the importance of precise and effective communication. Perhaps if Anakin had been more communicable and willing to alter his message in a way that could be easily understood he would not have found himself in such a dilemma.

I very rarely talk about being a christian, but I had to say something in response to that one cunt literally calling trans people "demons and imps", right after saying they were like mutants from X-Men
