Regrettably, our team encounters substantial obstacles in progressing A Voyage North into Early Access, primarily due to persistent DDOS attacks on SourceHut. These disruptive incidents have significantly hampered our collaborative efforts, causing a notable setback in our development timeline. While we initially aimed for a Late January release, the current situation introduces uncertainty to this schedule, and it appears as though Mid February is our projected launch.

Despite these challenges, we extend our heartfelt support to Drew and the entire team. We sincerely hope that, in response to these malicious actions, the community rallies to aid and fortify sr.ht's resilience in the future. On behalf of ShaderX, I want to express our apologies for any excitement regarding this month's launch.

Though hindered, our commitment remains steadfast. We continue to diligently work on various town quest lines and advance production on essential gameplay systems. However, the constrained work environment has slowed our progress in reaching the launch state of the game. Your understanding and continued support mean a great deal to us, thank you for standing by us during this trying time!

Too broke to have the benefits of owning properties? Look into REITs.

Real Estate Investment Trusts, are investment vehicles that own, operate, or finance income-generating real estate across various sectors. In the context of the NASDAQ, REITs are listed and traded as securities. They provide investors with a way to invest in real estate without directly owning the properties.

REITs typically own and manage a portfolio of properties, such as commercial real estate (office buildings, shopping centers), residential properties (apartment complexes), or specialized real estate (hotels, healthcare facilities). The income generated from these properties, in the form of rent or mortgage interest, is distributed to REIT shareholders in the form of dividends.

Some forms of REITs are "disaster proof" such as healthcare facilities, as even during times of financial crisis, people need access to medicine.

It's important to note that REITs are subject to specific tax regulations, and they are required to distribute a significant portion of their income to shareholders in the form of dividends to maintain their tax-advantaged status(This is why it can be advantageous for companies to form REITs)
