I apologise for using those channels to such ends, but the ends justify the means.
Telegram has been a huge part of many of our lifes, for a great community. We felt safe on the platform, until today. Today, I feel like we have lost freedom and control.
Here's what that update does :
Say Bob and Alice have a normal private chat, in PM (not a secret chat, a normal PM).
Bob can now delete a message sent by Alice from BOTH sides, without Alice's approval.
This means that all of the messages you have now and will send in the future are at risk of being deleted FOREVER by your correspondants. Maliciously, or even just by mistake.
None of us thinks this a good update, bring danger, scam, and making telegram unsafe, which hurts because we love Telegram.

Article is on which languages have the most checked and unchecked vulnerabilities. You will notice that functional languages don't even chart.
It is almost as though a functional language has inherent methods of safety and security, and that verification reduces bugs that open exploits.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
(I wonder if F* to Low* C compilation causes less risks)
