The systemd service manager and init system is a fully-free piece of software, however it comes with many limitations and that compromise portability and other values that free software lovers typically gravitate toward. I encourage you to join the Devuan GNU/Linux's Init Freedom Campaign to support your preferred alternative to systemd. @GNUPropaganda officially supports and endorses The GNU Shepherd which is an integrated SysV-init-like service and init manager that is portable to every POSIX-compatible system where guile is available.

With love and freedom!

Hello everyone, it's Trev the Dev, CEO and producer here at ShaderX Studios. We've been working hard on bringing enjoyable games to your homes in as many ways as possible. Over the past few months we have been designing a new game for you. Return to the lands of Brandari as the Wanderer in our all new game, The Poet of Lanburtu. Coming to Linux, macOS, and Windows, you can explore our reimagined
land of Brandari, and new realms such as Darkmor and Lanburtu. Brandari looks entirely different now featuring our brand new engine, known as Pendulia. We intend for all of our future projects to use this engine in some way, whether it be our 3D open world RPGs or our simple terminal based dungeon hacks. Back to this project. After releasing Doodly Do back on new years day, we decided we should continue the series. Without any direction, we waited for over a year for a pitch to come to mind. Thankfully, the pitch came recently and we all loved it. The game is going to be massive, reimaging iconic locations from the first game, such as the city and surrounding areas of Murkwell. We intend to approach everything in this project much more professionally, as our schedule is much more flexible now. The Poet of Lanburtu is going to feature complex RPG elements that the first game just entirely lacked. For example, calculation based combat that's more than just a simple dice roll. More stats influence general abilities such as your chances of survival in the wilderness, crafting, speaking, and reading. Yes, this game introduces reading to the series, the main quest is about searching for a lost library in the strange volcanic lands of Lanburtu. Featuring an 8 act story, that will spend many hours to complete, and loads of easter eggs, side quests, and other things to keep the players coming back, the Poet of Lanburtu will surely be an enjoyable experience for anyone who's a fan of hand crafted RPGs, and Roguelikes. We here at ShaderX Studios hope you enjoy our game as much as we do making it, and we hope this New Years Eve it's a game many fans can enjoy. Until then, stay tuned on our forums for updates on features, videos and screenshots, requesting content for the game, and much more.
