Here’s why so many people oppose COVID shots but still accept childhood vaccines—or reject vaccines entirely while continuing to believe virology is a legitimate science:

They have an intuitive hunch that something is deeply wrong—but subconsciously assume it couldn’t be worse than what they already see. Because confronting that level of deception would be too disorienting, they default to external authority as a way to preserve a sense of stability.

They don’t know how to differentiate actual science—rigorous, controlled experiments that test cause-and-effect hypotheses drawn from observable phenomena—from pseudoscientific beliefs built on layers of unproven assumptions.

They outsource to authority—both mainstream and alternative—assuming those figures can distinguish science from pseudoscience. Most can’t.

They don’t recognize core logical fallacies like circular reasoning, or affirming the consequent—mistaking the effect for proof of the cause (e.g. “two people got sick in the same room, so a virus must be responsible”).

They’ve been conditioned away from trusting their own discernment, intuition, and capacity for critical thought.

And finally, they’ve been steeped in a hyper-materialist worldview—unable or unwilling to question the deeper, metaphysical forces at play all around (and within) us.
