You can pretend HBD is just "politically neutral" science but the implications and natural conclusions are obvious, hence leftists attacking it relentlessly for 100+ years. HBD-esque science has been a major theoretical foundation of nationalism for a long time.

This relationship remained significant when influences of caloric intake, urbanization, obesity, education and carbohydrate crops were statistically controlled. Stepwise linear regression selected meat intake, not carbohydrate crops, as one of the significant predictors of life expectancy.
