Just ordered something random on AliExpress now that I have my credit cards! 😄 Curious to see how this whole thing works... 🌍 it says it’ll take about 9 days to arrive. 🤞 I'll keep you posted when the mystery item lands! If you've got any tips or experiences…
This item actually arrived, but the day I went to the post office to pick it up, someone asked to buy it, and I ended up selling it. I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of it.

Anyway, here’s the message I received from the post office:

"Ethiopost:
DEAR NEBYAT BEKELE, YOU HAVE AN ITEM WITH ITEM NUMBER RE048803338..* PLS COLLECT IT FROM GPO/General Post Office."

So, if you fill in the city as Addis Ababa and use the ZIP code 1000, or just based on the ZIP code in your area, your item will be delivered to a nearby post office in your city. You don't need a post box or anything.

I’ve ordered four more items to see how the tax works. I heard you can import twice a year for free, and every time you import, "ጉሙሩክ" will record it and calculate the "ቀረጥ" you have to pay, sometimes up to three times the amount you paid for the item.

I know I started sharing random things, but I thought it might help you. If you have any more questions, ask me in the comments. 🤔

As William Ernest Henley wrote in his poem "Invictus"

"I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul."

Are you the master of your own fate? 🤔

If you've seen Vikings Season 4, there's a scene where Ragnar speaks with the seer. The seer’s prophecy seems vague and open to interpretation, but Ragnar said that he shaped his own destiny. I’m a bit fuzzy on the details, it's been a while since I watched the series but the core idea is not about the series but about how we shape our own fates.

Free courses

I think Awaqi and Yenetta Code have made some courses available for free. Check out https://courses.awaqi.org/course/. There are some free courses available. I didn't check all of them, but they include marketing, graphics, and soft skills courses. The site is a bit busy, and it's definitely running on Moodle. Anyway, try searching for a course, and if you find any good ones, share them with us!

Scalability is often misunderstood, especially by beginners. Many worry about scaling their projects before even having a substantial user base. But if your project does attract a large number of users, it's a good problem to have it means your idea is successful! As your user base grows, you can secure the resources needed to scale your system, potentially even using your user base for funding or investment. That's one reason I appreciate serverless architecture. It provides the essentials to get started, and when you need more, you can scale up without worrying about the infrastructure. It's a practical approach that grows with
your needs.

U can hate me for this post... but please don't! 😁

You know, there's something Interesting about black holes and white holes.

In the universe, a black hole is this a force that pulls everything toward its center, trapping even light in its grip. On the other side, there's the concept of a white hole a hypothetical opposite, where instead of pulling everything in, it pushes everything out. Imagine something so powerful that it won’t let anything stick around, constantly pushing it away.

Even though black holes and white holes are opposites, they’re connected in a cosmic way both are part of the same set of equations in Einstein's theory of general relativity. Two opposite forces, tied together by the same laws of physics.

This got me thinking about life. Sometimes, we have these "holes" in our hearts. It’s like a black hole, pulling in all our energy, our joy, our motivation. Other times, it’s like a white hole, where no matter what we try to hold on to, it just slips away, pushed out of our reach.

you know what? This post is getting too long! But seriously, having a hole in your heart feels like the worst kind of bad luck, like carrying around this invisible weight that logic can't lift. You can know all the right things, believe in all the right things, but still feel that emptiness. It's tough, and sometimes the hardest part is that the emptiness doesn’t make sense even when you understand it, you can’t always feel the truth of it.

But just like in the universe, where black holes and white holes are part of a larger cosmic balance, the holes in our hearts are part of our own journey. They might feel impossible to fill right now, but I believe that, over time, we can find ways to make sense of them, to heal, and to rediscover the fullness of life.

If you made it to the end, bless your soul! Give it a like, it's the least you deserve!

When Your PC Knows You're Down

It's funny how machine learning projects these days have turned into just running pip install -r requirements.txt.

Anyway, I had this idea where my PC would constantly check my face for emotions. If it noticed that I looked sad, angry, or just not happy, it would send me a joke via SMS.

I used a bunch of libraries I barely know and Twilio for the SMS gateway to send the jokes directly to my phone. It worked but the joke it sent me was pretty on point:

"Why are there no pharmacies in Africa? Because you can't use medicine on an empty stomach."

I was thinking what if employers used something like this to check their workers' moods and, I don’t know, give them something to motivate them

While going through my database, I found a table with 147,580 users from different TG groups, and 9,772 of them have phone numbers! 😲 I’m not sure what to do with it yet, but don’t worry, I’m keeping it safe. Maybe I’ll just keep it as a collection or something...

Should I sell it? Anyone interested, let me know! 😂

This is actually a scrape of 147,580 Telegram users from different groups not for scams, just for educational purposes.😁 The point is, after scraping, I can automatically add those users to my groups or even DM them like a normal person.

I can even send SMS messages to those whose phone numbers I have since I know at least a little about them their Telegram name, username, groups they've joined, and maybe even chats they've had. I've never actually done this, but I'm just talking. but when I tried messaging multiple people at the same time, I got banned. I've gotten used to getting banned 🤣.

Imagine a beautiful girl on her profile picture sending you a voice message with a lovely voice, making you feel like she's talking just to you. You might do everything to respond, but the reality is, it's a recorded audio sent by a bot to hundreds of people like you. Ironic, right?

Keep yourself safe from scams, and from a 'nice girl' 😂."

Did you know you can 3D print almost anything? I found some open-source projects that can be 3D printed, so I reached out to a few providers for pricing. I remember it used to be around 8 birr per gram, but now they've told me it's 15 birr per gram, and they'll decide whether or not they can print the item.

i know the material has a very low density but 15 birr per gram seems a bit expensive,

Does anyone here 3D print things? For example, I want to 3D print a case for a project I'm working on and potentially sell it. However, with the current pricing, I'm not sure if it will be profitable or if people will be willing to buy it.

Long post , but I promise there’s a point..

You know, I've been thinking about that saying, "A hero can only be as good as their villains." It came into my head while I was reading Limitless by Jim Kwik a book that I heard about through a review and decided to buy it. I'm not finished with it yet, but in the introduction, Kwik talks about comic books and how many of them follow this classic plot structure called the Hero's Journey, as outlined by Joseph Campbell. You might have heard of it. it's also known as the "monomyth."

Campbell's idea is that many stories, myths, and even our lives follow this pattern of a hero's adventure, facing challenges, and ultimately transforming. But what’s really got me thinking is how in these stories, the villains play a role in shaping the hero's journey. The greater the villain, the greater the hero has to become.

This made me wonder aren't we all sort of living our own comic books? But here's the catch: we don’t always know who or what our villains are. It’s like we're heroes on our journeys, but we’re up against invisible or unidentified foes. And that’s where things get tricky.

In life, our "villains" might not be a person wearing a cape or an evil mastermind. They could be our own doubts, fears, or limitations those internal struggles that hold us back. Sometimes, they're external challenges like tough circumstances, societal pressures, or even just the daily grind.

But here's the kicker: identifying these "villains" is key to understanding our own hero's journey. Because once we know what we're up against, we can rise to the challenge, just like any hero would. So, maybe our first task isn't to save the world, but to figure out what we’re battling against. After all, every hero's strength is defined by the villains they face.

Thanks for hanging in there till the end! A like from you would make my day!
