In my view, what happened with Dookie is a complete disappointment.
The problem is that if it didn’t get picked up properly yesterday, the chances for the token’s future are extremely slim—unless someone sees potential and transparency in it.
Objectively, we just lost money on it. And froze those funds.
To be honest, I don’t see much future potential specifically in Dookie. Even if we (the team) start buying it back with our own money, there’s a big chance that small holders will dump once they see profit—and that would just bring us even more losses.
The mistakes I made: I bought in with 3 SOL right at launch, which was around 10% of the total supply. That might have looked like a red flag for the Pump.fun audience because of the risk of a quick dump. Even when I locked those tokens in a smart contract for a month, nobody really cared or appreciated it.
Meanwhile, someone else jumped in with multiple wallets, bought quickly, and then sold everything (basically a rug). Other traders on Pump.fun assumed it was the team behind it, and there’s just no way to prove otherwise.
If anyone has ideas on how we could revive it, feel free to share.
Otherwise, we can just move forward with the regular Pookie rounds and occasionally run fun experiments on Pump.fun—but this time with a better plan.
