Govt using Army to spy on lockdown critics "an enormous scandal... there must be a minister who was responsible, & they should be sacked" - Rod Liddle

And to think they lecture public on "misinformation" and tell us we need Online "Safety" Bill

This shows public actually need protection *from* Govt

Govt's "Counter Disinformation Unit" in Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport needs shutting down

"15 Minute Cities" are presented as positive

In fact the idea is to LIMIT & RESTRICT you

As June Slater rightly says:

Councils will NOT be rebuilding towns - so how will you have "everything you need?"

You won't!

You'll have, do, be less & your life will be poorer for it

We reject this grim, sad, frightened vision of the future

"I saw a consultation in Oxford where 90% said 'we don't want this' & they were totally & utterly ignored.

"That's not a democracy. That is not the country we should be living in"

Olympian Sharron Davies at our Bath event on Thursday - which was absolutely packed!

It is clear there is huge & growing public opposition to undemocratically imposed and damaging "15 Min Cities", "20 Minute Neighbourhoods", LTNs etc

"‘Digital pound’ possible by 2030 in bid to combat falling use of cash"

This headline is a nonsense

"Risks but no obvious benefits" - former Governor Bank of England Mervyn King

To require "significant public investment?"

And most money digital anyway

So why do it?
Who benefits?

Ealing residents got hugely unpopular LTNs removed 2021

But @EalingCouncil don't appear to have got message

"Introduce 3 'Liveable Neighbourhoods' & 25 LTNs by 2030"

Locals may wish to look into council meeting on "Local Development Plan," Ealing Town Hall, 7pm tomorrow
“The politicians offering to keep us ‘safe’ with Online Safety Bill are the same politicians working with the same technology companies to remove critics of its policies from the public square... a secretive disinformation unit has no place in a democracy.”

Wow! We had an INCREDIBLE ‘Free Our Streets’ event in Bath on Thursday evening!

The venue was completely packed with around 350 people turning out, and the energy, enthusiasm and quality of contributions from speakers and attendees alike was inspiring.

What came through loud and clear was that so many locals feel they are just not being listened to by local councillors - who are riding roughshod over their wishes to impose restrictions that threaten basic abilities to move around and live life freely.

In this sense Bath is no different to towns and cities up and down the UK… even rural Norfolk is being targeted for a “20 Minute Neighbourhood” scheme! (This is much less baffling when you understand central Government is funding many of these schemes.)

Putting the Public back at the heart of decision making is a core part of our work Together - if you'd like to support us in doing this, please join us as a member from as little as £3 per month, here: https://www.togetherdeclaration.org/join/
Why do we need a "Central Bank Digital Currency?"

"It is about data on what you spend... control(ling) data on everything someone spends, when & where they spend it, (is) a priceless asset" - @faisalislam says quiet part out loud

What could go wrong eh?

Bath's "'Liveable Neighbourhood' scheme a 'solution' to problem that never existed.

"It has actually *increased* pollution; they've diverted traffic, it hasn't reduced traffic in any way"

Are Bath and North East Somerset Council listening to residents like Norma?

Catch up with our full debate from Bath last week: https://youtube.com/live/0h5oayCwexI?feature=share

You'll see a host of locals with good & respectable reasons to object to these damaging, anti-democratic schemes

It's happening up & down UK though
