ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL: "This is a dark day for Britain" (Alan Miller)

Awful process

Private member bill totally inappropriate in the first place

Then stacked committees, ignored dissenting voices, and limited debate have turned this into a deeply undemocratic process for such a life-and-death issue. Even including committee stage the Bill has been debated for just 95 hours in Parliament

The Hunting Act 2004 was debated for over 700 hours

We need better care, not assisted death
