UNDER 16s SOCIAL MEDIA BAN: "Infantilise us all in the name of so-called ‘protecting children" (Alan Miller)

To stand up for the principle that parents not the state should judge what is best for their children, for civil liberties and democratic accountability - and to oppose any system of compulsory digital ID by the back door - take action via the link in comments

Wouldn't it be better to give your cash to independent businesses run by real people who believe in freedom, than faceless mega-corporations who don’t? ‘Course it would... and that is where the Together Directory comes in!

SOCIAL MEDIA "BAN" (UNDER-16s): "'Ban' could force vulnerable children into darker and unregulated spaces on the internet"

This policy would be a serious mistake - undermining parental responsibility, civil liberties, child safety, and democratic accountability, while being unworkable in practice

ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL: "People think it’s about relieving pain, but the Bill makes no mention of pain" (Lord Deben)

The underhand way the Govt has tried to push this deeply flawed & dangerous Bill through is very worrying

UNDER 16s SOCIAL MEDIA BAN: "We'll all have to digitally verify to get into the public square online" (Alan Miller)

If kids are online, that is a CHOICE made by PARENTS

Families are best placed to decide what is appropriate for their children, based on maturity, circumstance and individual needs, a blanket ban replaces parental judgement with state control

DIGITAL ID: "This is the start of a social credit system... it's wrong and everybody should say no"

Dr Renee Hoenderkamp calls out digital ID 👏

We lived through digital discrimination during Covid: “passes” that divided, restricted and excluded people from everyday life.

We cannot allow it to happen again. Never again.

Under 16s Social Media "Ban" = Digital ID By the Back Door

The British public has just rejected compulsory digital ID proposals, this threatens to impose it through the back door.

Mission creep to cover the entire internet – not only social media – seems inevitable.

Anonymity protects whistleblowers, vulnerable people and political dissenters alike, and this would destroy that too.
Even online safety groups don’t think banning social media for under-16s is a good idea.

They say it could cause unexpected problems: creating a false sense of security, while actually pushing kids into more dangerous, unregulated parts of the internet where it’s harder to keep them safe.

DIGITAL ID: "We don’t want our children to be cattle for digital ID"

The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill creates a national digital ID for children by stealth - turning the NHS number into a compulsory lifelong ID used across government (health, schools, social care).

Yet the Govt is still pushing the public into One Login - millions of company directors effectively forced, & veterans encouraged when it clearly isn't secure - they need to stop
