Cross-solutions on TON, which means Web3.0 is even closer

🔹The TON Crosschain roadmap has been published. Several teams are working on cross-solutions, including XP.Network and RSquad.

🔹The launch of TON Sites (Q3) and TON Proxy (Q3) will open up smart contract connections to sites and vice versa.

🔹 Soon you'll be able to exchange souls and your pets (NFTs) between TON and other blockchains using components from XP.Network. And you won't have to waste time looking for the coins you need - RSquad tools will give you the ability to transfer any token (altcoin) from Ethereum and BNB Chain to TON and back.

--

Plans as well as prospects-cool! Ahead of Rainbow crosschain bridge (Q3 2022-2023) and connecting TON with Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Tron, Tezos, Elrond, Algorand ecosystems, etc.

DNS: launch, summary, outlook

DNS connects domain names to IP addresses. For TON DNS service is extremely important, given the imminent launch of TON Site and TON Storage.

Summary

🔹TON DNS is running smoothly.
🔹 More than 2 thousand domains were redeemed during the week for a total of over 2.8 million ton. The most expensive are wallet.ton (215,250 ton), casino.ton (200,000) and bank.ton (157,500).
🔹"Burned" coins reduce inflation and increase the value of the ton.
🔹All domains are in the first level auction. Once TON Site is launched, the owner will manage the subdomains.
🔹The first level domain is NFT and can be stored not only in the Tonkeeper wallet, but also on GetGems.
🔹If you link your wallet to ton.dns, it's easy to send coins using domain names.
🔹If a wallet address is tied to a domain, CryptoBot will recognize it and start using it when withdrawing coins.
________

In the future, new domain zones will appear on DNS and support for domains from other networks is likely.

An expert in defense of stabelcoins

The collapse of TerraUSD, pegged to the dollar, caused a wide resonance. Algorithmic steblecoins are being blamed for everything. But according to Miles Jennings, a top manager of a16z crypto venture capital fund, the problem is not the code, but the way the concept of securing the coin's value was applied.

The risk arose from insufficient collateralization. If a coin is secured for less than $1, issuers make up for the shortfall with management tokens. At first, this causes the token price to explode and more stabelcoins to be issued.

All is not bad, but until the price starts to fall, which is guaranteed in a volatile market. Users panic. The redemption is offset by the rapid liquidation of the collateral. The result is a "death spiral.

Still, stabelcoins can be stable and even more resilient than fiat if properly managed as collateral.

Prohibiting the use of algorithms and digital assets for collateral would have negative consequences for DeFi and impede web3 innovation.

RSquad develops internetwork solutions for TON
Cross-solutions provide the tools for further deployment of TON.

In his article, RSquad Blockchain Lab talks about progress at TON. Its team is working on two projects at once.

1️⃣Completion of the TON Bridge.
Last year, TON launched two bridges: TON ⇔ Ethereum and TON ⇔ BNB. Now RSquad is tasked to develop crosschain solutions for two-way transmission of any Ethereum and BNB altcoins through these bridges.

TON's core developer, Anatoly Makosov, stressed that this will be very important, given that DEX from the Tegro and STON teams will soon start working on TON.

2️⃣Work on the TON Trustless Bridge.
This is a "zero trust" service, much like Rainbow-bridge with EVM blockchains.

Together, the developers are enabling communication between networks without the need for third parties, or oracles (relay networks). The TON virtual machine will be able to understand messages from other networks without oracles and have other blockchains understand messages from TON.

By the way, hello!😀 Stay with @DeepTonEng

Differences between TON and other blockchains from a technical perspective

TON is still in its initial phase of development. But it is already clear full decentralization will be the priority. The blockchain is deployed in such a way as to exclude any dependence on products and services from centralized providers.

As one of the main developers of the network explained, all the differences are designed to give TON a competitive advantage. This includes asynchrony and specific data structures organized into cells.

First of all, this means:

🔹Infinite scalability, i.e. the network structure allows for growth up to any required bandwidth.

🔹Trustless orientation, where any clients can easily verify large amounts of information, instead of blindly trusting the provider.
____________

Bandwidth is the speed at which traffic is processed. TON is capable of making millions of transactions simultaneously and almost instantly.

Trustless orientation is associated with the concept of "zero trust". Consensus occurs due to the mechanics (algorithm) built into the network itself.

TON & GetBlock

Something major happened at TON, and despite getting little attention, it is crucial for the development of the blockchain and its stable operation. We are talking about the placement of shared and dedicated TON nodes on GetBlock.

Getblock was launched back in 2019 and has since become one of the most reliable providers of API node connections. Today, it provides services to more than 40 leading blockchains, including BSC, Polygon, and Ethereum.

What does this integration mean for
TON?

🔹Integration greatly facilitates synchronizing decentralized applications (DApps) with blockchain nodes. This is possible because the service supports tools such as JSON-RPC, REST, and WebSockets. Yet another crucial step in the growth of the TON ecosystem.

🔹In turn, synchronized nodes interact faster with each other. As a result, the blockchain becomes more reliable, decentralized, and resistant to attacks.

🔹Besides, creating nodes is an expensive and complicated process. By taking this tedious, yet necessary task upon itself, GetBlock frees the development teams to focus on the technical process, rather than monitoring access to the blockchain. Thus, we’re taking advantage of a "plug and play” solution.

Just imagine every wallet, online game, NFT marketplace, etc. using GetBlock services!

Is this necessary for TON? Absolutely. Especially now, when the DApps ecosystem is in its early stage of development.

New page on GitHub

TON Enhancement Proposals (TEP) is a new and more convenient page dedicated to current and future open network standards that have replaced TIP.

This is a more convenient way of getting acquainted with TEPs, where interested parties can discuss current standards and propose improvements to further stabilize the interaction between different parts of the ecosystem.

TEPs released:
🔹Life cycle of TEPs
🔹NFT standards
🔹Token standard
🔹Standard expansion of NFTRoyalty
🔹Interchangeable tokens (Jettons)
🔹TON DNS standard

💵 Orbs has chosen TON as its base for blockchain development

The Orbs network announced a long-term strategic partnership with The Open Network (TON). This event is important for both blockchains, as it unites the efforts of their teams in deploying the decentralized infrastructure necessary for the operation of Web3.

Orbs was launched in 2017 and has since then helped developers create decentralized protocols and products. As an L3 network, it complements and builds services upon the L1/L2 networks base.

It has also partnered with Polygon, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom and others. Working on top of blockchains, Orbs enables service developers to expand their capabilities. Practically, it works as a separate add-on, like a bridge between L1/L2 and applications.

According to the Orbs team, TON is the L1 network that will arouse the interest of billions of users and be the first blockchain to be massively adopted.

Interestingly, at a recent AMA session, the CFO of Huobi Lily Zhang said the same thing: "Using user-friendly products for the mass market, TON can become one of the most promising first-level blockchains and attract hundreds of millions of Web 2.0 users to the world of cryptocurrencies."
