Actress Jessica Chastain claims Ukraine gets more attention than Iran because it's 'mostly White'

Chastain
has shown support for both causes on social media. In a recent interview she shared her thoughts on the war in Ukraine and Iranian protests:

"I've done a lot of press recently, and a lot of people want to talk about Ukraine. But when I bring up Iran, no one wants to talk about that. I think because it's a women-led revolution, and I think because Ukraine is mostly 'White people'" - Jessica Chastain.

Queer activist says she has never heard of detransitioning cases

Jessie Pocock
, witness in the House hearing on 'anti-LGBT violence' was asked to share her thoughts on detransitioning phenomenon:

"I've never heard of a case of anyone detransitioning so I honestly don't think it's a real thing" - she replied.

Pocock is an executive director of 'Inside Out Youth Services', which provides services to LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-24. Yet, she claims that she has never encountered a case of detransitioning.

Such organizations are only interested in children when they can help transition them. Once the job is done, they are no longer involved. And when some start to question their decision and even consider detransitioning, they become canceled by the LGBTQ+ community.

Elon Musk suspended multiple high-profile left-wing journalists from Twitter

Journalists were suspended from the platform on Thursday for violating a rule about posting information that revealed the location (doxxing) of Musk's private jet.

Accounts that were suspended included:

🔹Aaron Rupar, left-wing propagandist and former Vox journalist
🔹Donie O’Sullivan, CNN reporter
🔹Ryan Mac, New York Times reporter
🔹Drew Harwell, Washington Post reporter
🔹Micah Lee, the Intercept journalist
🔹Keith Olbermann, hardcore leftist

"They posted my exact real-time location, basically assassination coordinates, in (obvious) direct violation of Twitter terms of service. Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not," - Elon Musk.

Musk clarified that the accounts were not permanently banned but were instead suspended for 7 days.

Twitter (before Musk) was known to disregard some doxxing cases, including the disclosing of Chaya Raichik's home address (Libs of TikTok account owner), after which Raichik faced stalking and threats.

The suspension of journalists has expectedly raised angry disputes on Twitter.

🇺🇸U.S. Senate votes to ban TikTok on government devices

The Senate unanimously passed a bill that would ban the use of TikTok on government devices amid growing national security concerns over the Chinese-owned social media platform.

The No TikTok on Government Devices Act, introduced by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), was passed late Wednesday. The bill now heads to the House.

The bill will need to be signed by President Joe Biden to become law.

🤔 But if government officials can't use TikTok, how will they know which pronouns are blue-haired teachers feeling like each day?

❗️TWITTER FILES: PART 6❗️

The new 'Twitter files' release by Matt Taibbi uncovers the FBI tampering with Twitter

The main takes from the files:

▪️Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive.

▪️Between January 2020 and November 2022, there were over 150 emails between the FBI and former Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth.

▪️Most of the requests were to review or take action on tweets and accounts, especially during election. Both right- and left-leaning accounts were at different times subject to review. Even obvious jokes were reviewed and, if needed, censored.

▪️At the request of the FBI, Twitter executives were distributing the 'products' among employees, which were actually bulletins stressing the need for greater collaboration between law enforcement and 'private sector partners.'

▪️One of the of the bulletins - 'Russian malign influence use of permissive social media platforms' - states, that:
"Russian malign influences see operational advantages in sites with less active effort to ban false information, offensive language, and inauthentic behavior."

▪️There were multiple points of entry into Twitter for government-flagged reports.

"What most people think of as the 'deep state' is really a tangled collaboration of state agencies, private contractors, and (sometimes state-funded) NGOs. The lines become so blurred as to be meaningless." - Matt Taibbi concludes.

🇺🇦U.S. Ambassador shares that it is difficult to track whether financial and military aid to Ukraine is getting to its intended recipients

Up to date, the United States, the European Union and other countries have sent over $100 billion in aid to Ukraine. The U.S. government is struggling to keep track of the billions of dollars sent to Ukraine, even relying on Ukrainian forces and staffers to keep tabs on how the money is being used.

U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink, who sent the a 'sensitive but unclassified' cable from the United States embassy in Kyiv, says that chaos on the ground and a history of corruption makes wars like the one in Ukraine very expensive and difficult to track.

African nations have complained that weapons the West has sent to Ukraine to aid in its fight against Russia have started to pour into their nations via Ukrainian arms dealers. Some of the Stinger and Javelin missiles appear on the black market in Albania and Kosovo.

Reportedly, in April only 30-40% of aid was making it to its intended destination.

Georgia pastor wants to use his church as a marijuana farm to draw more black men

Atlanta pastor of megachurch Jamal Bryant says that his church needs to attract more black men. He suggested that the best lure for black men was cannabis.

"I'll be able to bring in Black males. They're able to do it legally. I'm teaching them farming. I'm helping them to enhance the ecosystem. This is the kind of conversation. So if the guy, Black boy, in Bankhead said ‘they growing weed at the church? Where do I join?' I don't need no pamphlet for him," Bryant said.

Of course, Bryant's dream of turning his church into a marijuana farm would face an uphill battle in Georgia where marijuana laws prohibit the growth and possession of marijuana for anything but a small personal amount of medical low-THC oil.
