GBPUSD has swept previous day’s high, but EURUSD failed (SMT Divergence).

The price has pulled back to the New York Midnight Open Price (MOP) and the middle of today’s volume profile Value Area.

Entry near the MOP and at bearish order block.

Stop loss above today’s Value Area High.

Target previous day low (PDL).

I prefer to close the position or move SL to breakeven before today’s PPI release (8:30 NY time).

First TP is set at previous low.

We can do two things when the price reaches this level:

1. Close the position with +1.5R profit.

2. Move the stop loss to breakeven and let it run.

After 5 years of trading, I’ve learned that getting low R/R trades consistently is much better than trying to catch 1:6 and 1:10 every once in a while.

This gives you more peace of mind and less losing streaks.

The market is likely to consolidate until PPI.

DON’T TRADE 1 HOUR BEFORE HIGH IMPACT NEWS.

GBPUSD is meanwhile yet to reach the PWL (Previous Week Low).

So, there might be more bearish price action for both currencies today.

My bias for EURUSD is still bearish.

This is true as long as we get a daily close above previous day’s high.

So, we’re looking for shorts today.

📉 Dec 13 - EURUSD Short

I’m counting on the price to retrace toward the New York midnight open price (MOP) and today’s volume profile value area.

This is a high risk trade because we’re entering too soon, but the R/R is good.

Target R/R = 3

Let’s see how the price reacts to the large bullish FVG (blue).

I’ll reduce risk to 0.5 soon.

I got a second entry on the 1m bearish FVG.

I also trailed the stop, I’m now risking 0.75% in total.

This is a very aggressive trade with high R/R. I also don’t like the bearish momentum. It’s low.
