Jamaica is about to get smoked all the way through Tuesday. not even modern construction can handle 3+ days of hurricane conditions, a lot of us will be getting new neighbors in the next few months
so to recap, a tropical wave started off the coast of Africa, moved across the basin normally and didn’t develop until it reached the hottest part of the entire ocean where it stopped. then it spun up while barely moving and now it’s going to wreck Jamaica moving 3-4 mph (normal is 12-20 mph) and then pick up speed again, clip Cuba and head out to sea. yeah idk bros that’s super weird 🌀
