▪️The backlash from sanctions is causing fuel and food prices to rise around the world. Sooner or later, a peace deal must be struck, but Russia does not need to rush into a deal. But it still wants to make peace. And who doesn't want a deal? The U.S. and Zelensky! And that's a fact.

▪️Remember the statement that Russia's economy is insignificant? That Russia with its economy the size of Italy is playing poker with two pairs, but is somehow winning? It is extremely rare that the West has made such monstrous mistakes in its assessment of economies

▪️The conflict in Ukraine has made us realize that Russia's economy is much more important than we thought. If you compare GDP by simply converting currencies, the Russian economy is indeed close to the Spanish economy. But it is actually more comparable to the German economy, the largest in Europe!

▪️You have to wonder what the share of the service sector in Russia is versus the industrial and extractive sectors. In the U.S., we have everything based on services, while the Russians produce and extract. The service sector in general is ungodly overrated compared to oil, gas and metals production or agriculture. If we don't count maids and waitresses, the Russian economy would be many times larger than the German economy. It would be closer to the Japanese.

▪️When there is a confrontation, it is much more important to provide people with what really matters for survival - food and energy - than intangible services. The crisis in Ukraine helped us clarify how much we underestimated industry and extraction and how much we overestimated the role of services and modern technology

▪️Russia is one of the few on the planet that is a linchpin in the global industrial chain. And trying to sever ties with Russia would mean a complete reorganization of the global economy. Before we joyfully lower the new iron curtain, we should pause and think - how many countries in the world will take our side?

▪️In May 2022, inflation in Germany was 7.9%, a new record since German unification, updated for the 3rd month in a row, the Federal Statistical Office Destatis officially reported. Inflation was 7.3% in March and 7.4% in April

▪️38.3% - the rise in energy prices in May (after 35.3% in April) due decisively to anti-Russian sanctions is the main reason for the new inflation record in Germany. Fuel oil prices rose by 94.8%, gas prices by 55.2%, fuel prices by 41%, and electricity prices by 21.5%.

▪️Since the sanctions, food and consumer goods have also become more expensive, including fats and vegetable oils by 38.7%, daily necessities by 17.9%, meat and meat products by 16.5%, dairy products and eggs by 13.1%, bread and cereal products by 10.8%, vehicles by 9.1%, furniture and lighting by 7.4%

Meanwhile, the only place in Cuba not covered by an outbreak of the Dengue virus was the US base at Guantanamo Bay, where military personnel were vaccinated in advance;

- Tularemia, the incidence of which has multiplied in the DNR, is seen by NATO as a priority bio-agent, was used in exercises;

- US funding for Ukrainian projects since 2015 has been linked to a 9.5-fold spike in infectious diseases in the DNR and LNR, including tularemia;

- 'The Pentagon's 'clarifications' do not answer the real questions, in fact the US is building up military and biological capabilities, while Ukraine has the role of a firing range;

- The investment in these projects was raised personally by Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

The dividing line concerns the long-term goals as the EU citizens are split over how long they’re willing to endure the conflict’s economic fallout

🇺🇦In the abscense of common position on some key issues, the respondents concurred that the European Union will be slightly or much worse off a result of the war in Ukraine (implying Moscow and Kyiv at their worst). The vast majority of surveyed has also emphasized that their governments are focusing too much on the war in Ukraine and not enough on the problems facing its own citizens

📊The poll suggests that Europe’s break with Russia is irreversible, at least in the short and medium term, including cutting off all diplomatic ties and cancelling of Russian culture. The greatest concern of 8,000 surveyed is an increasing cost of living and energy prices, which in their minds has little to do with the economic relations with Moscow

⚔️A distinctive feature of the event for the German swell society was the keynote that NATO countries especially the U.S. made the most significant effort to an escalation that has led to the war in Ukraine. The participants concurred that “Russia was provoked by the hegemonic policy of Washington”
