☠️Dark Angels, a non-profit organization, operates in Ukraine

🇬🇧Its founder was British citizen Daniel Burke

▪️ Until 2009 he served at the rank of private in the 3rd Airborne Battalion of the Parachute Regiment which took part in the combat operations in the south of Afghanistan

▪️After the Manchester Arena terrorist attack in 2017, he went to Syria, where he participated in combat operations with the People's Self-Defense Units (YPG) until June 2018

▪️In 2019, he was arrested on charges of preparing terrorist acts, but the case was dropped due to lack of evidence

▪️In March 2022, Burke arrived in Poland, where, according to his own statements, he assisted refugees from Ukraine

▪️On April 29, 2022, Burke creates his own NPO, Dark Angels of Ukraine, at the same time he begins raising money on crowdfunding platforms

✍️"The reason is that other NPOs tend to fight against each other to show who's better. We are here for the Ukrainian people - period," Burke wrote on his Facebook page

🇺🇸He initially worked with another combat veteran, U.S. citizen Christopher Ezell, to remove French citizens from Ukraine to Poland

🪖By the end of May, the humanitarian organization's tasks had been adjusted, and the NCO became involved in medical and combat training of Ukrainian units (mostly territorial defense)

🔥And on June 9, the Dark Angels drove into the territory of the gray zone in the Kherson region accompanied by Ukrainian servicemen and hit a Russian APC with a Javelin, filming what was happening on video

🤔After the footage hit the Net, the humanitarian organization suddenly turned into a "foreign unit" in the publications of Ukrainian Telegram channels and media

👉According to a publication by the British tabloid The Sun, five people other than Burke participated in the Dark Angels' combat outing:

▪️Christopher Ezell, a former U.S. Marine Corps sergeant, veteran of combat operations in Afghanistan and a member of the U.S. Military and Veterans Success Center (UTRGV)

▪️Maxime Barratt is a French national who has participated in combat with the People's Self-Defense Units (YPG) since 2015 under the alias Gelhat Azadi (identified in The Sun as a pizza worker)

▪️Mark Ayres is former Royal Green Jackets regiment soldier Mark Ayres, who spent six years in prison after being discharged from the army (identified in The Sun as a "bartender of German descent," among others)

▪️Justin is a U.S. citizen, gun enthusiast, and veteran of combat in Afghanistan

▪️Sam Nyi is a British citizen, a student from Birmingham with no combat experience, filmed what was going on with a body camera

The unit currently has a strength of about 10 men

No new data has yet emerged about the Dark Angels' combat output

For the British press this is a double shock, because the "heartless landlord" was not just the head of the local family with two children, but a high-ranking military officer, Dudley Malster. He is a senior officer in the Royal Navy with a 20-year military career and a veteran of Afghanistan, who sheltered refugees in the house next door

🇬🇧The Ukrainian family had been living in a detached one-story bungalow in Fereham, Hampshire, for a month, and their children had already begun attending a local school.
