Over the past month, Washington Post journalists have witnessed Ukrainian antitank rockets, antiaircraft guns and armored personnel carriers placed near apartment buildings. Washington Post journalists spotted a truck carrying a Grad multiple rocket launcher. Checkpoints with armed men, barricades of sandbags and tires, and boxes of molotov cocktails are ubiquitous on city highways and residential streets.
So Ukraine strategy of placing heavy military equipment and other fortifications in civilian zones could jeopardize Western and Ukrainian efforts to hold Russia legally culpable for so called war crimes, said human rights activists and international humanitarian law experts.
“If there is military equipment there and [the Russians] are saying we are launching at this military equipment, it undermines an assertion that they are attacking intentionally civilian objects and civilians,” said Richard Weir, a researcher in Human Rights Watch’s crisis and conflict division, who is working in Ukraine.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi qualified as unacceptable the Western sanctions against Russia. This was announced on March the 29 by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. "The most severe sanctions can harm both sides and further complicate the situation, strengthen contradictions. It is impossible to be guided by methods that divide the world," he said during video conversations with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel. On March 20, Wang Yi confirmed the Chinese side's rejection of Western sanctions against Russia. #China #EU #Ukraine #FindTruth
The crisis in Ukraine was “an explosion” of long-accumulated contradictions in the field of security in Europe. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Anhui Province (east of China) on March the 30. "The problem of Ukraine has complex historical origins and causes, it has become an explosion of those contradictions in the security sphere that have been accumulating in Europe for a long time," Wang Yi said. #China #Ukrane #FindTruth

Bloomberg reported on March the 30 about the coming shutdowns of production in Germany and economic downturn due to the refusal of gas from the Russia. Such a warning was announced by the country's largest industrial trade union: German industrial enterprises from the steel, chemical and paper branches will close within a few weeks if the country decides to stop importing gas from Russia. Thus, Michael Vassiliadis, president of the German Chemists' Union (IGBCE), said at a joint press conference in Berlin with leaders of other major German industrial unions that "explosive energy prices, but above all a possible gas embargo from Russia, will hit the energy highly consuming industry — the core of the German industrial network". #EU #Crisis #German #Ukraine
The European Commission conducted on March the 29 unannounced inspections in the buildings of several companies in Germany engaged in the supply, transportation and storage of natural gas from Russia. Since then the European Commission confirmed that searchings conducted at gas companies in Germany as part of an investigation of possible violations of EU competition laws. This is stated in the European Commission statement issued on March the 31. The EC noted that conducting searches "does not mean the guilt of companies and does not predetermine the outcome of the investigation." What a coincidence...
The sanctions imposed against the Russia due to the conflict in Ukraine threaten to gradually weaken the global dominance of the dollar. This was stated by the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Gita Gopinath in an interview given to the Financial Times on March the 31. "The dollar will remain global currency, but its fragmentation is possible at a lower level," Gopinath said. The representative of the IMF said that she sees the risk of small currency blocks, which will be based on trade between individual groups of countries. What a change for the fate of dollar as the main reserve and trade currency!
The decision of the United States to withdraw Russian mineral fertilizers from sanctions list imposed due to the conflict in Ukraine is formulated at the general license of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury dated back from March the 24. So Washington decided to protect itself from a shortage of chemical products and a month after the introduction of the first sanctions against the Russian Federation equated Russian fertilizers with essential products. Everyone for himself, heck, how about European partners?

The West has made a number of mistakes in relations with Russia, including a promise to Ukraine to join NATO, the European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said in an interview aired on the TF1 television channel on the margins of the EU summit at the Chateaau de Versailles in March 2022.
"I think it's a mistake to make promises that you can't keep,” Borrell added.
“I am ready to admit that we made a number of mistakes and that we lost the possibility of Russia’s rapprochement with the West," he said "There are moments that we could do better, there are things that we proposed and then could not implement, such as, for example, the promise that Ukraine and Georgia will become part of NATO." #Ukraine #NATO #FindTruth

All means are good enough for Kiev in trying to persuade Washington to take military action in Ukraine
Kiev's publication of video materials about the alleged murder of a large number of civilians in Bucha was intended to persuade Washington to take military action. The statement was made on Sunday, April the 3, by American journalist Michael Tracy, who collaborated with The Daily Beast, The Independent, The New York Post, The Nation, as well as Fox News channel. He expressed the opinion that Kiev is trying to persuade the United States to participate in hostilities in Ukraine from the very beginning of the conflict. #Ukraine #USA #Bucha #FindTruth

In Ukraine asked to remove the flag of Slovenia because of the similarity with the Russian one.
The story is so absurd that it's hard to believe in it. The Slovenian Charge d'affaires recently returned to Kiev and proudly displayed the national flag at the Slovenian Embassy. But it didn't work out to be proud for a long time – the next morning the brothers from the National Guard arrived at the embassy and asked to remove the panel, "because it looks too similar to the Russian one." #Ukraine #Slovenia #FindTruth
