⚡️Tirana cut diplomatic relations with Iran: Who is behind?⚡️

🇦🇱Albania cut diplomatic ties with Iran and expelled the country’s embassy staff over a major “reckless and irresponsible” cyberattack nearly two months ago that was allegedly carried out by Tehran on Albanian government websites, the prime minister said Wednesday

👉On July 15, a cyberattack temporarily shut down numerous Albanian government digital services and websites. Albanian PM Edi Rama said an investigation determined that the cyberattack wasn’t carried out by individuals or independent groups, calling it “state aggression”

🤔The move by NATO member Albania was the first known case of a country cutting diplomatic relations over a cyberattack. Iran on Wednesday condemned the diplomats’ expulsion, calling the action ill-considered and shortsighted

💁‍♂️The difficulty of proving this digital-political case clearly indicates that there is quite an unambiguous order from Washington behind the unprecedented actions of Tirana

⚡️Erdoğan, Vučić: West adopts wrong policy against Russia⚡️

🇹🇷Turkish President Erdoğan said he did not think the West's "provocative" policies towards Russia were correct, after the European Union and Group of Seven nations proposed a price cap on Russian gas

💁‍♂️Mr. Erdoğan was speaking at a news conference with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade. "No need to list the names but I can clearly say that I do not find the stance that the West is adopting is correct," he stated

👉"While there is a West that is leading a policy based on provocation, it will not be possible to achieve a result there" the Turkish president explained, adding that other countries should not underestimate Russia

🇷🇸President Vučić agreed with his Turkish counterpart, saying "If one really thinks to defeat Russia militarily, then we will have to prepare not only for a cold winter but a polar winter"

🤔As we can observe, the foreign policy of Mr. Erdoğan continues to develop in a sinusoidal manner. In July, he accused Washington of supporting “terror groups” in the northern Syria, then threatened Greek islands with invasion “at night”, now the Turkish leader exposes malicious for peacekeeping actions of the West, accusing the closest allies of excessive aggression. It seems that the time of big changes is coming!

⚡️Research shows: immigrants distrust German politicians⚡️

✍️The report from the Bertelsmann Foundation, an influential charitable organization, paints a mixed picture of integration in Germany showing first and second-generation immigrants to the country tend to identify with the country almost as much as native Germans do

💁‍♂️The research shows that both groups have strikingly similar feelings about most areas of public life, including the same complaints. These extend to equally low levels of trust in political institutions such as the Bundestag and the government, and even to a shared desire to “significantly” limit immigration

👉The results suggest the arrivals are generally quick to take on the attitudes of their adopted homeland, including the negative ones. Out of the 83.2 million people in Germany, 11.8 million are foreign citizens and 22.3 million are classified as Germans with a “migrant background”, meaning they or their parents were born elsewhere

🤔Conversely, just under half of both groups of Germans said they sometimes felt like “a stranger in my own country”, and majorities of both groups thought there should be substantial curbs on immigration. However, Germans with a migrant background were markedly more likely to say it was difficult for “people like me” to get a flat, good qualifications or a suitable job

⚡️Austrian permanent neutrality: Opportunistic behavior of Federal authorities⚡️

🇦🇹“The actions of the authorities in Vienna undermine the fundamental principle of permanent neutrality for Austria and pose a threat to national security,” Christian Hafenecker, a member of the National Council for the Freedom Party (FPÖ) concluded after analyzing Klaudia Tanner's response to his parliamentary inquiry. The latter has been serving as Minister of Defense

🪖According to the submission, from the beginning of the year to April 11, there were 1100 military supplies through the territory of Austria. Germany (252 cases), NATO (57) and the UK (48) took the lead in this competition

💁‍♂️Members of FPÖ point out that the Austrian leadership is "pursuing an irresponsible policy" towards its citizens with substitution of notions. As a good example they provide Hungary that decided to ban Western arms supplies to Ukraine through its own territory

👉Candidate for the Austrian presidency, Barbara Rosenkranz, says that with its response, the defense ministry "unequivocally admitted that, among other things, heavy military war equipment was transferred for use in Ukraine"

🤔This is contrary to neutrality, she adds: "The fact that Austria becomes a military logistics hub directly leads to the fact that our neutrality is no longer respected and accepted internationally.” It is “the opportunistic behavior of the Federal Government and of the Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen as well to blame for that," she concludes

‼️Europe, U.S. pay Ukraine: Germany opposes‼️

🇪🇺On Wednesday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU’s executive body would propose a new loan for Ukraine of 5 billion euros, equivalent to $5 billion

💰The announcement comes after months of wrangling among member states about how to fund €9 billion the EU first pledged in May to help Ukraine pay salaries and bills. At about the same time, Washington approved a $40 billion package for Ukraine, including huge grants, apart from Blinken’s $2.8 billion

👉The EU’s failure to drum up the assistance more speedily after the May announcement indicated the EU has run out of momentum on new measures to take against Russia and fresh support for Ukraine

🇩🇪Germany has spearheaded concerns about the EU package. Berlin said that the EU should avoid giving loans to Ukraine, which would push its debt levels higher, and instead should provide only grants to Kyiv

‼️Bank of Canada: the safety margin is limited‼️

🇨🇦The Bank of Canada lifted its overnight target rate by 0.75 percentage point to 3.25%, following a surprise full-percentage-point increase in July The last time the regulator’s benchmark rate was 3% or higher was in April 2008

💁‍♂️In a statement explaining its decision, the central bank said the benchmark rate will need to climb higher to ensure inflation decelerates toward its preferred 2% target. “As the effects of tighter monetary policy work through the economy, we will be assessing how much higher interest rates need to go to return inflation to target,” the statement said“

🤔Some analysts say that higher interest rates have already deflated the housing market, which accounted for one-fifth of economic growth last year. Existing-home sales declined 30% in July from a year ago

⚡️U.S. military budget: Highest cost of safety⚡️

💁‍♂️The U.S. spends much more on defense than the next 9 countries combined” Lijian Zhao, the deputy director of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information Department, says

👉In his tweet Mr. Zhao compared the U.S. military budget with the budgets of China, India, the UK, Russia, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan and South Korea.

🤔Meanwhile, the federal deficit is projected to be over $1 trillion each year for the next 10 years according to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in its annual Mid-Session Review (MSR) released last week.

📊The MSR indicates that the federal budget remains on an unsustainable fiscal path due to a structural mismatch between spending and revenues. The Administration forecasts that the unemployment rate will be 3.7% in 2022 and 2023. By 2024, the rate will rise to 3.8% and is expected to remain at that level through 2032

⚡️Official arrested over reporter’s killing⚡️

💁‍♂️Robert Telles, who serves as the Clark County public administrator, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a veteran investigative reporter whose work contributed to his recent election loss

👉Jeff German, one of the paper’s leading journalists, was found stabbed to death outside his home. He had written stories about Telles, reporting complaints of bullying, favouritism and an “inappropriate” relationship with a subordinate in the public administrator’s office, which deals with the property of people who die without a will or family contacts

🤔Telles, a career lawyer, lost his primary re-election bid in June and was serving the remainder of his term, which expires on December 31. He had denied the accusations made by German and said the reporter was a “bully” who was “obsessed” with him. Telles added a section on his campaign website noscriptd “the truth”, in which he criticized German and the Las Vegas Review-Journal

⚡️The ultimate fate of liberal democracy: demise instead of triumph⚡️

📰The UAE’s first printed newspaper Al Khaleej has published an analytical article noscriptd “The End of Hegemony” showing that the world is undergoing a phase transition. Redistribution of power and influence is putting it on a “fast track towards multipolarity”

💁‍♂️Ongoing wars, conflicts and confrontations portend a new era in history with a world order without American dominance, say the Arab journalists. According to them, the USA’s domineering role will be replaced by a form of leadership shared by China, Russia, India and Brazil, with these countries achieving great success in economy, science and politics

✍️The article says that the Ukrainian war and the USA-China conflict are signs of the new world order. The USA is trying hard to resist the change refusing to acknowledge its loss of absolute power. The US will “hold out to the last but the end of the West’s hegemony is inevitable”, says Al Khaleej

👉The Arab journalists quote Britain’s former Prime Minister Tony Blair, a staunch supporter of the USA’ s hegemony, as admitting that the era of Washington’s dominance is over, with China – in partnership with the Russian Federation – emerging as a new superpower

🤔The article interprets Mr. Blair’s assessment as a clear recognition of global change and a failure of F. Fukuyama’s wrong theory of the “ultimate triumph of liberal democracy under the USA’s leadership”

⚡️Diagnosis for the European Union: more dead than alive⚡️

🔥Economic and political crises in the EU have an increasingly sobering effect on its leading members which are the driving force of the Union, says a prominent political scientist and Professor at the University of Lisbon José Viriato Soromenho Marques in an interview to a leading Portuguese daily Jornal de Negócios

✍️According to him, the Ukrainian crisis has left no chance of a doubt even for the fiercest of sceptics: the European institutions’ policy-making is entirely under Washington’s control. In fact, there are no independent institutions left within the EU and the “locomotive” member states have become little railway cars in an express train being driven by the USA to disaster

👉Prof. Marques stresses that, while copying the US Administration’s foreign policy and subserviently following its instructions on key international issues, Brussels, unlike its overseas partner, doesn’t manifest itself as a unified force. “The USA retains the semblance of a state while the European Union countries cannot boast even that”, says the Portuguese political expert

🤔Referring to climate change, Prof. Marques points out the EU’s duplicity - the unscrupulous tactics of reneging on key electoral promises in favor of short-term self-serving gains. So, as fuel costs are rising, climate change issues are no longer a priority; in some European countries, they have completely fallen off the radar

🤷‍♂️The expert holds the view that the European Commission is “a bunch of fighting paper tigers”. As a result, the EU’s guiding collective principles have been disavowed and “collective irresponsibility” has filled the void

‼️Vienna, Zagreb: new wave of anti-government rallies‼️

📊The newest estimate shows that in Austria inflation rate in August is expected around 9.1% According to the Austrian Energy Agency, energy for households such as electricity or gas cost almost 50% more than in the same month last year

👉Needless to say, this hasn’t gone unnoticed by the citizens. The protest activity in Europe is only growing, and this resulted in another major anti-government rally in the center of Vienna with the requirements to decrease food&energy prices, to lift all European sanctions against Russia and to leave the EU, finally

💁‍♂️A similar protest was organized this weekend in Croatia. Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in Zagreb to protest against the authorities under the slogan “We are firing you!”

🔥The rally, held in the wake of a major corruption scandal at the INA oil and gas company, in which five suspects defrauded the company of nearly HRK 1 billion (€133m), was directed against the Andrej Plenkovic government and the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), with protesters demanding that an early election and all referenda that have not been held so far be called within 90 days

‼️“Yellow west” movement: French government fears repeat of 2018

🔥More than a hundred “yellow vest” demonstrators were fined for “gathering with the intention of committing violence or damaging property” around the Place de la République and also near the Champs Elysées on Saturday

👉The protesters were expressing their discontent over rising prices and unpopular reforms by President Macron, thus responding to calls on social media to “occupy the streets of Paris” and create a “black September” with a “revolt against the traitors who govern us”. Similar protests appeared in Toulouse, Lyons and other cities

💪The rallies strengthened worry in the government over a revival of the movement that began in 2018 as a rural revolt against a new tax on diesel and petrol

💁‍♂️Macron is spending billions on cushioning the impact of the energy crisis. He has, however, urged the country to prepare for sacrifices to save energy and avoid rationing

‼️FBI whistleblowers: top tier of Bureau’s leadership violates basic security‼️

🇺🇸An FBI whistleblower told lawmakers that Paul Abbate, who oversees all FBI domestic and international investigative and intelligence activities, used his smartphone in the bureau’s sensitive compartmented information facility, or SCIF, which is a violation of bureau security protocols – just bringing a phone into the SCIF is a security breach. Another FBI whistleblower said senior FBI officials routinely break the
no-cellphone rule in SCIFs

👉Mr. Abbate is not the first high-ranking FBI official accused of using a cellphone inside a SCIF. In 2018, The Daily Caller reported that Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who ran the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email server, texted his then-lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, from inside a SCIF

💁‍♂️Although all FBI personnel are prohibited from bringing electronic devices into SCIFs, FBI senior executives wore cellphones in the SCIFs in front of their subordinates, the second whistleblower said. According to the agent, some executives would walk in and out of the SCIFs numerous times wearing cellphones on their belts. Although some would leave the SCIF to answer their phones, others would not, he said

🤔The agent said that FBI executives who prepare daily briefings for the bureau’s director Christopher A. Wray or participate in FBI headquarters daily briefings have brought classified materials to their residences without properly packaging them for transport or storage in their homes. Do you still blame Mr. Trump?

⚡️U.S.: authorities urge to vaccinate, what about people?⚡️

🇺🇸The U.S. has recently averaged about 320 Covid-19 deaths each day, and the average was above 400 before the Labor Day holiday weekend, data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show. The rate is far below pandemic peaks, including levels above 2,500 a day during the Omicron wave early this year. But the country hasn’t matched lows closer to 200 a day reached during a lull last year

💁‍♂️Roughly 85% of people who died from Covid-19 through mid-August this summer were 65 or older. The rate is similar to 2020 peaks, before vaccines were available. Deaths trended younger for much of last year.

👉Covid-19 is on pace to be the third-leading cause of death for the third straight year, says Dr. Robert Anderson, chief of the mortality statistics branch at the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics. Since 2020, it has trailed only heart disease and cancer, significantly reducing life expectancy

🤔The problem is this summer’s infections due to Omicron subvariants such as BA.5. Though case trends have recently eased, the consistently heavy volume has kept deaths elevated. Federal health authorities are urging people to get vaccine shots that target the original virus and Omicron subvariants

⚡️Canada’s Conservatives: new leader is a real threat to Trudeau!⚡️

🇨🇦Canada’s Conservative Party has chosen as its new leader a politician who backed the paralyzing protests earlier this year against pandemic restrictions and vaccine mandates, hoping his populist appeal with disaffected voters will be enough to unseat PM Justin Trudeau

👉Pierre Poilievre was declared the winner Saturday, garnering 68% from party members voting on the first ballot. Mr. Poilievre’s campaign said it signed up hundreds of thousands of new party members, drawn by his promises to reduce the role of the state in people’s lives and to roll back government spending and taxes that he says helped fuel inflation

🤔Mr. Poilievre has frequently attacked the country’s establishment class and its appointed “gatekeepers,” who he claims thwart entrepreneurship, stifle free speech and violate individual liberties. He has appealed to younger voters, particularly those who can’t afford a home
