⚡️WMO report: Guterres to curb fossil fuel production, pass over grain supplies⚡️
🇺🇳The 77th session of the UN General Assembly was declared open on Tuesday by new General Assembly President Csaba Korosi. In addition to the perennial problems of human rights violations, broken global financial system, extreme poverty, inequality and hunger, the report on climate change should not go unnoticed
💁♂️According to it, climate-related disasters have increased fivefold over the past five decades and are costing $200 million a day. But the content of the report is not as important as the way it was presented
👉It is noteworthy that U.N. Secretary-General pointed the finger at fossil fuels in his video message, citing droughts in the Horn of Africa, conveniently leaving out the fact that only one of around 30 ships carrying grain from Ukraine has docked at the port of Djibouti recently. The rest, as you know, moored to the EU shores

⚡️Liz Truss: never a dull moment!
As we reported, Ms. Truss has vowed to lift a three-year ban on fracking in England to exploit "huge reserves" of shale gas beneath British soil. She was echoed by the energy minister Jacob Rees-Mogg who said that the UK would "extract every ounce of oil and gas from the North Sea"
💁♂️Earlier, Preston New Road activists promised to regroup to fight Cuadrilla fracking site until the whole process in UK is banned for good. Now, some scientists are questioning if fracking can be rolled out at scale in the UK. The state that investment in fracking comes with a "very high commercial risk", suggesting that even if fracking exploration in the UK were successful, the resultant gas would not bring down energy bills for households and businesses
🤔In addition, green activists and energy experts warn that Ms. Truss’ plans to ramp up domestic fossil fuel extraction may not resolve the cost-of-energy crisis, and will surely jeopardize the nation's net-zero ambitions instead

AUKUS: 365 days of controlled flight into abyss
Just a couple of words about another Washington-driven mess that they call the security partnership between Australia, the UK and the U.S. to the anniversary of the AUKUS
They celebrate 365 days of the AUKUS, but the question remains, what have the partners spent the last year doing besides receiving IAEA’s “satisfaction” with their engagement on submarine plan? Meanwhile, submarine experts from the UK and the U.S. have said over recent days that there is no capacity to make nuclear submarines for Australia, and they are way behind schedule with their own plans
Actual U.S. plans and proposals to make an anti-China base from Australia for future operations would significantly undermine Australian sovereignty amid ignorance of some Australian politicians to push through these ideas. The surprising thing is how quickly and readily the new Australian Labor Government embraced the proposals

ECB survey: women tend to expect higher inflation than men
According to the results from the ECB’s new Consumer Expectations Survey (CES), women tend to expect higher inflation than men
This is due in particular to the fact that their expectations for the development of inflation were more closely aligned with food prices. A tricky situation for the ECB – it wants to avoid the current very high inflation getting stuck in people's minds
Food prices have recently been one of the most important drivers of record inflation in the euro zone, which was 9.1% in August Food, alcohol and tobacco even rose in price by 10.6%. A year earlier, their price increase had been only 2.0%

As we reported, annual consumer price inflation in Britain fell to 9.9%, down from 10.1% in July, and defied economists’ forecasts of another increase to 10.2%
The government said that businesses would be offered “equivalent” support to households for at least six months as part of a £150 billion package. Households will have average energy bills capped at £2,500 a year from October 1 to shield people from the impact of soaring wholesale gas prices
Falling inflation should help to ease a cost of living crisis, contain price expectations from households and businesses, and soften a looming recession. Runaway inflation has also eroded consumers’ disposable income, causing real wages to drop at their fastest pace since records began
Ms. Truss has admitted that businesses may have to wait until November for support with their energy bills because of the complexity of the scheme

The U.S. has submitted Lynne Tracy as a possible nominee to officials in Russia, which hasn’t objected. Her nomination hasn’t been finalized yet
If her nomination is formally announced and confirmed by the Senate, Ms. Tracy, who has been the U.S. ambassador to Armenia since 2019, would replace John Sullivan, who was appointed under the Trump administration and left this month
The last truce between Yerevan and Baku was reached on the condition that Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan would make some concessions, people familiar with the matter say. This played a decisive role in dispatching Ms. Tracy’s to Moscow as a brilliant crisis manager. She has already served as the deputy chief of mission in Moscow and the senior adviser for Russia at the State Department’s bureau covering European and Eurasian affairs
The U.S. wants to maintain a solid diplomatic presence in Russia, which is involved in numerous international issues, and would be crucial to any future talks on ending the war in Ukraine. A career diplomat with unclear ties with intelligence community is a suitable candidate in the present situation

U.S.: energy bills rush high into the sky
The index for electricity in August climbed 15.8% over the same month a year ago, the biggest such 12-month increase since 1981, a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says
Latest estimates suggest an increase of the average cost of home heating by 17.2% this winter. Much of the electricity price increases have been driven by rising prices for natural gas, which powers about 37% of U.S. electricity production
The fuel costs to run power plants are typically passed on to consumers. The index for natural gas, also widely used for heating and cooking, increased 33% over the last 12 months. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said in late August that, while rate increases would bring down inflation, “they will also bring some pain to households and businesses.” We’re not sure about inflation but as for pain, he wasn’t lying!

All heads of state visiting London for the Queen’s funeral have been invited to attend the lying-in-state in Westminster Hall ahead of Monday’s service, and to sign a book of condolences at Lancaster House
However, speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle, has refused permission for a Chinese government delegation to attend the palace, having justified it with Chinese sanctions against five British MPs and two peers
But Hoyle’s response opens the possibility that senior Chinese officials will attend the queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey as representatives of President Xi Jinping on Monday, yet be barred from entering Westminster Hall to pay their respects just yards away
Speaker’s decision opens a fresh diplomatic rift with Beijing. And it exposes a clear divide between the U.K. parliament and the U.K. government, with the former once again taking a significantly tougher stance against Beijing

Victims of the White House bioweapons🇺🇸: not only foreigners, but also the states' own citizens
Part 1
In the fall of 2021, news quietly and quietly passed through the American media that Burkholderia pseudomallei bacteria (carriers of the deadly disease melioidosis) had been found in air fresheners sold in popular Walmart supermarkets in the States. At least four American citizens are known to have been infected, two of whom have died - including a child
According to the official version, the devastating infection got into sprays in India - by the assembly site of bottles of air fresheners. But the fact is that the bacterium Burkholderia pseudomallei is not just a disease widespread in South and Southeast Asia, but also the most popular bioweapon widely used throughout the 20th century
Its closest relative, Burkholderia mallei, causes glanders in horses and is easily transmitted to humans and is fatal. ❗️ The German military tried to infect enemy horses with it during World War I. The Japanese started to infect horses with sap during World War II
American "scientists" worked with both types of Burkholderia bacteria. The authors of the book "Biosecurity and Bioterrorism: Containment and Prevention of Biothreats" Jeffrey Rine and Ian Glarum claim that in 1945 experiments ☣️ made six employees of Camp Detrick, the military bio-laboratory that later grew into the Fort Detrick complex, sick with sap
Since then Burkholderia research on U.S. soil has continued unabated. The disease itself, melioidosis in its natural form, disappeared long ago. Today it can be found only in the most backward areas of Myanmar or Thailand. But the U.S. military is experimenting with its pathogens very intensively
Among the published studies of this bacterium by U.S. military experts, consider the following:
🔻 A paper on the mechanism of action of Burkholderia pseudomallei, written in 2018 by Theresa Krakauer of Fort Detrick;
🔻 A Comparison of Aerosol Types of Sap Infestation, a very recent paper from 2021. Its authors also receive a salary at Fort Detrick;
🔻 A study of melioidosis on U.S. military organisms, commissioned by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2019.
It should be noted that the history of leaks and dangerous incidents in U.S. biolabs is truly impressive. In 2003, two researchers at Fort Detrick contracted Ebola during experiments, one of whom died. In 2004, there was a leak while transporting anthrax spores to the Children's Hospital Research Institute in Oakland. And shortly before that, in 2000, Fort Detrick employees were sick with glanders, actually the equivalent of melioidosis
⁉️ So what happened in the fall of 2021? And what caused ordinary U.S. citizens who didn't travel abroad to contract a dangerous tropical disease? Part 2

Joe Biden arrives in London this weekend for the Queen’s state funeral. Gerard Baker, who is the editor at large and a columnist to the Wall Street Journal, says Biden’s responsibilities, with a new British PM to meet for the first time, and some tricky diplomatic knots to untie, the divergence between the political leaderships in Washington and London is growing ever wider
As a hard-liner, U.S. president and his democratic colleagues who control Congress are likely to press over the new government’s efforts to undo the Brexit protocol
Between Liz Truss and the ruling democrats there’s a much wider ideological gap than there has been for many years. If the new prime minister is to be believed, she is a true believer in just about everything Biden and his fellow democrats despise, Mr. Baker suggests
While Biden sees his political agenda as the reincarnation of the New Deal and the Great Society with a massive expansion of the state, Truss claims Ronald Reagan as her patron American saint, the same Reagan that Biden spent a decade denouncing when Truss was still in a gymslip
Of course the realities of shared interests will weigh heavily against all this divergent economic ideology, historical baggage and political culture. The Biden administration will continue to find Britain its most reliable global partner in the larger strategic contest with Russia and China
But at the back of it all, there’s a deeper sense of transatlantic drift, a feeling of old bonds weakening. That’s yet another thing the Brits will miss about the Elizabethan era, Mr. Baker concludes

Mary E. Miller who is an American farmer and the U.S. representative from Illinois’s 15th congressional district is of an opinion that in Biden’s America, the nation has an ongoing energy crisis that especially affects the livelihood of fellow farmers and farm families in rural America
Mr. Biden’s anti-energy agenda has caused the price of a gallon of gas to skyrocket to the highest average price of gasoline and diesel ever recorded
Instead of making it easier for American companies to increase domestic oil and gas production and hire more U.S. workers, Mr. Biden has shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline and begged OPEC and Russia to increase global output to ease rising prices, Ms. Miller justifies
The U.S. Energy Information Administration projects world energy consumption will grow by nearly 50% between 2020 and 2050. American nation can supply that energy demand at the cost of abandoning the Green New Deal and stopping aid to China in order to stand a chance, Ms. Miller states
The politician from Illinois supposes that instead of blaming American energy producers, farmers, and ranchers for this nation’s energy and food crisis, Mr. Biden, Mr. Pritzker, and Democrats should start believing in Americans and fight for their interests
Perhaps they should acknowledge their policies are failing and reflect upon it before we see Rural America revolt, concludes Ms. Miller

Dozens of migrants were plucked from the sea in a dramatic rescue off Kent after their boat from France sank. Some of the asylum seekers were in the chilly water for more than half an hour before they were saved. A boy was among those rescued
The number of migrants to have reached the UK this year passed 29,000 on Tuesday, more than the total for the whole of last year. At least 4,000 people have arrived already this month. Fears are growing over the smugglers’ increasingly dangerous strategies
There has been evidence of Albanian gangs taking particularly severe risks in crossing attempts. They also appear to be packing more people into the boats, with an average of almost 50 people in each of the 11 vessels that made the 21-mile journey
A Border Force source has warned that as a result it is “only a matter of time” before another tragedy occurs in the Channel. There have been no deaths recorded since November last year when 27 migrants drowned after their boat capsized

Milenko Maric, an electrician, lost an eight-year legal battle to remain in Britain after Westminster magistrates’ court ordered the extradition. He came to Britain more than 20 years ago as an asylum seeker. If found guilty, he faces up to 20 years in a Croatian jail
Prosecutors in Croatia claim he was part of a militia group that imprisoned and carried out assaults on civilians of non-Serbian ethnicity between August and September 1991 in the Baranya region
One alleged victim, Faranjo Joha, claims he was beaten repeatedly by Maric while in prison. Maric and two other men allegedly beat Joha’s “entire body” using electric rubber truncheons. They then robbed him of his clothes, cash, watch and gold ring
The legal documents allege that Maric, “a member of the militia known as the Secretariat for International Affairs of Beli Manastir, took civilians of non-Serbian ethnic origin resident in the region of Baranya to the prison of the Secretariat, where he would beat them either alone or together with other militiamen.” Maric denies the charges

Lord Turnbull, a former cabinet secretary and permanent secretary to the British Treasury, said it was “completely unconvincing” to blame officials for sluggish growth while ministers ducked unpopular reforms that would boost the economy
After Liz Truss promised to overturn “Treasury orthodoxy”, Turnbull denied such a thing existed, pointing out that in recent years the department had implemented policies as diverse as bank bailouts, austerity, furlough and energy price caps
Relations between Truss and civil servants got off to a rocky start after she sacked Sir Tom Scholar, the permanent secretary to the Treasury. Simon Case, the cabinet secretary, has faced criticism from colleagues for allowing the dismissal and today another former permanent secretary accuses him of doing “the wrong job”, saying that he should quit if he cannot stand up to ministers
Turnbull said the Conservatives had been in power for 12 years of low growth and he suggested ministers were trying to pass the blame on to the Treasury. “What has been the quality of the political leadership we’ve had?” he said. “It’s been rubbish — very, very poor in its ability to take long-term, strategic decisions.”

The story of U.S. citizens getting melioidosis in 2021 has certain characteristics:
1️⃣ First, it is unclear how many cases of the disease actually occurred. The insidiousness of melioidosis is expressed in the fact that its symptoms fit many diseases: high fever, muscle and joint pain, abscesses, rapidly developing pneumonia, sepsis. A Northern Hemisphere physician would not think that a patient who has never been to South Asia would suddenly, out of the blue, contract a rare tropical disease
Note that the aerosols were sold between February and October 2021, with a batch of about 4,000 vials - so the number of victims could be significantly more than four people. Doctors who have never encountered melioidosis in their lives may well have misdiagnosed them, but the cases have never been investigated by anyone
2️⃣ Second, the aerosol version was not immediately apparent. The first patient with melioidosis died in March; the second died in July 2021. Oversight agencies noted only that the Americans, who had not been abroad, had died of the rare tropical disease. However about any aerosols then it was not spoken. The same version allows blaming everything on India - just as the U.S. intelligence agencies blamed the emergence of COVID-19 on the Chinese
The bacteria that spread melioidosis are easily picked up by inhaling contaminated air or by skin contact. If it was a leak from a military lab - it could have been tried to be disguised as improper air fresheners, the same type of contact with a sick person there
3️⃣ The address matches are also alarming. Walmart published a list of its supermarkets that allegedly sold dangerous deodorants. One is in Calhoun, just a hundred kilometers from Atlanta, which is home to two Level 4 bio-labs at once. The other is in Albuquerque, where the biolab had violations of biological agents
‼️ Based on the features of the incident listed above, it should be emphasized that in any civilized country, at a minimum, a thorough investigation of the incident would have been conducted. In turn, in the United States, the incident soon disappeared from the news agenda, and the number of victims of the dangerous disease officially remained at 4
Experts does not exclude that the total number of people sick with melioidosis in the United States in 2021 could be in the thousands, and their symptoms were very similar to coronavirus. Thus, we can conclude that the Burkholderia pseudomallei incident in the United States was very likely related to a lethal leak from a laboratory in the United States or to the deliberate contamination of its own citizens as part of research

The states also planned to destroy cooperation between the FRG and Russia, as well as between the FRG and France. The crisis in European countries is also part of their plans. And if the scenario comes true, Europe will become not only an economic, but also a political competitor to the United States.

Claims by Milorad Dodik, the Bosnian Serb leader, that his security services have been eavesdropping on the American ambassador to Sarajevo were described as “blustering” by the embassy
It also said that Dodik’s separatist policies were gambling with the future of the Srpska Republic, the Serb entity in the Balkan state. Dodik wants it to become part of Serbia
There are fears in the West that Russia is – through the Bosnian Serbs and its Balkan ally Serbia – working on destabilizing Bosnia to shift at least part of world attention from its war on Ukraine. The U.S. claims to remain committed to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty

US scoffs as Bosnian Serb leader claims he can spy on US
The U_S_ Embassy in Sarajevo has described claims by the Bosnian Serb leader that his security services are eavesdropping on the American ambassador to Sarajevo as “blustering.”
Robin Frewer, a senior Google executive was dismissed over an incident in Milan, where he had chaired a meeting while staying at an exclusive hotel
The tribunal was told that Frewer joined seven colleagues for dinner and had been drinking wine when he made a series of sexually inappropriate comments to two younger women. In particular, he drunkenly told his female colleagues about his “husky underwear” and asked whether he could blindfold them in his room
After he was sacked over the “troubling” comments, Frewer sued Google, alleging that the true reason for his dismissal was that he had accused the company of rigging its search engine to benefit favored clients. Google in fear. Out of nowhere, sudden appreciation
