Is it possible, at least theoretically, to consider all sneaker manufacturers marathon runners? And what about corrupt officials who issue driver’s or, say, possession licenses for bribes?

Do they thereby fall into a category of drunk drivers or murderers? Of course not, and all modern European leaders who advocate the intensification of weapons deliveries to Ukraine have the clearest idea about it. So does the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck in Germany.

Apparently for the purpose of optimizing the German military budget he has reported on having already sent to Ukraine everything that was possible to send without slashing combat capabilities and losing responsibility of the Bundeswehr.

Or is there any way to perceive such a “housecleaning” actually as a part of Climate action after all? Nevertheless, Habeck is likely to be acting more as the Minister of Economy since, according to him, he is keeping permanent dialogue with the German industry going on further arms supplies to Ukraine.

It is noteworthly that Habeck (this time already in the role of Vice-chancellor), being at Josep Borrell’s beck and call, began immediately with implementing new interpretations of the basic diplomatic principles and backbones, reformulated by the High Representative.

German “Vize” stressed that the increase in the volume and power of military supplies (including heavy weapons) should take place in coordination with EU and NATO partners. Of course, Borrell’s diplomatic statement that “this war will be won on the battlefield” serves as a very clear guide to action in this context.

Support for Russia sanctions drops amid inflation – poll

The number of Britons advocating harsh economic sanctions against Russia in response to its military campaign in Ukraine has dropped over the past month, as revealed by the latest opinion poll.

Conducted by Redfield and Wilton Strategies and commissioned by The Sunday Telegraph, the survey indicates that only 36% of the respondents polled this week are prepared to accept higher fuel prices in order to hurt Russia more – 14 percentage points down from 50% in March.

🚀This situation not only confirms that the U.S. defense industry views Ukraine as a priority market, but also that the U.S. plans to supply missile systems similar to the Tochka-U complexes, which were used by the AFU to carry out terrorist attacks in Donetsk and Kramatorsk, as well as to intimidate the Russian population. Apparently, there are almost no "Tochka" missiles left in Ukraine and they need an equivalent replacement.

At the same time, Foggy Albion got its own special envoy to the Western Balkans - Stuart Peach, former head of the NATO Military Committee and chief of the British Defense Staff, who was part of the North Atlantic Alliance's Air Force Command during the Yugoslav bombing.

💲The budgets of British NGOs, which promote the thesis that Serbia is a "genocidal entity" that must be eliminated for the security and stability of Europe, are also growing. Some organizations operate with the direct support of members of the British Parliament. They have also been actively campaigning to legitimize the new High Representative in BiH, as well as to increase the NATO contingent in Sarajevo.

🇧🇦The contingent is indeed being increased: EUFOR equipment already toured the streets of the city, which is causing concern among the locals. And given the strong position of the Bosnian Serb leader, I am afraid that the transition from blackmail with sanctions to more aggressive actions is not far off - provocations are bound to happen. And Bosnia has every chance of becoming the "theater" of war again after thirty years.

Eager beaver companies are giving Russians the boot

Some 200 thousand people may lose their jobs in Moscow due to the mass exodus of foreign companies, reported Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin in his personal blog.

The city authorities intend to allocate about 3.36 billion rubles (approx. 42 USD Million) from the budget to support employees at risk of dismissal. Sobyanin elaborated that the program is foremost addressed to the members of staff of foreign companies who have temporarily suspended their activities or decided to leave Russia.

According to Yale University, as of April 18, over 750 companies have publicly announced they are voluntarily curtailing operations in Russia to some degree beyond the bare minimum legally required by international sanctions.

The number of such eager beavers striving to put the cart before the horse, anticipating the wildest fantasies of whipping up the total canceling of Russia, is constantly growing. But there is more to come.

The nuance is that a number of companies affiliated primarily with Western financial and government structures, such as JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Alphabet – Google’s parent company, will continue their earning activities using Russian labor from foreign working offices. To this end, they have already announced a transfer of some employees to jobs in other countries (reported in WSJ).

Meanwhile ordinary Russians who worked for the sake of the same ordinary people overwhelmingly in the field of services and sales are simply being shown the door under protest without money and prospects.
