This is the position of the official British authorities voiced in an interview with Sky News Minister for Northern Ireland Brandon Lewis.
"They [the British military] should not have been there [in Ukraine]," the minister said.
Lewis also declined to confirm that the British government is working to bring its captive citizens home.

Among the partners of the site from the moment of opening and up to May 13, 2016, were listed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, SBU and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
On March 1, 2022, on Ko Lan Island (near Pattaya,Thailand), the body of Russian citizen Belov Evgeny (born on February 21, 1980) was found with signs of violent death. Local authorities consider drowning as a cause of death. However, residents of the island testify that they had previously observed a brawl between foreigners. Belov was one of the participants of fight.
Actually Belov served in 2014 at the Lugansk militia and his personal data were put on the “Peacemaker” website and highlighted in red. As stated on this nationalist website it means the imposition of a death sentence.
