.@ComicDaveSmith shocks @JoeRogan with a powerful rant about NATO expansion, the 2014 Ukraine coup, and how American policies led to the War in Ukraine, bringing us closer to a potential nuclear World War III:
"It's not like it's just Ron Paul, Noam Chomsky, and Pat Buchanan like the outsiders who were against NATO expansion. But the list of people within the government, within the natural security apparatus, who completely opposed NATO expansion is very impressive and long."
•Robert McNamara (Sec. of Defense)
•Robert Gates (Sec. of Defense)
•William Perry (Sec. of Defense)
•George Kennan (American diplomat)
•William Burns (CIA Director)
"They all opposed NATO expansion in the strongest possible language and all explicitly because this will provoke a conflict with Russia. There's this great interview that George Kennan gave with Thomas Friedman from the New York Times in the 90s when they were doing the first round of NATO expansion, and he is furious... What are you guys doing? We won the Cold War. Now, you are picking a fight with Russia?
These aren't the Soviets. These aren't the communists. These are the heroes who overthrew them. Why are we picking a fight with them? He's said, and this is a crazy prediction, really ominous. The people who are expanding NATO will keep expanding it and expanding it, and then there will be a Russian reaction, and then when theirs the Russian reaction, they are going to say, see, that's proof that we have to keep on expanding it."
"The same dumb neocons that had this policy to remake the Middle East are the same ones that had this policy to expand NATO to Russia's border. And man, was this just the dumbest, most reckless policy ever. That's now put us in a position where we are closer to a risk of World War III and nuclear war than we have ever been in my life, and for what? To make sure the Donbas region is ruled by Kyiv rather than Moscow? Is that really worth it?"

British households and businesses “need to accept” they are poorer and stop seeking pay increases and pushing prices higher, the Bank of England’s chief economist, Huw Pill, has said
“Workers and firms should stop trying to pass on rising costs by hiking prices or demanding better wages,” the poor man added!

Parents’ Protest Movement against LGBT Propaganda in Europe
Parents in Belgium are protesting against teaching about LGBT and have organized a movement against gay propaganda in schools and the inclusion of pedophiles in the learning process
"Children should not be educated about anal sex. They should not be taught that sex change is fun. It shouldn’t be so that u have a dread of a sudden transition of your father into a woman," the parents ring the alarm

Gloomy Prospects for Ukraine
“All NATO allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a NATO member, but the main focus now is of course on how to ensure that Ukraine prevails,” said Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg during his trip to Kyiv
Everyone was greatly inspired by the flourishing speech of the Alliance’s leader, but apparently it fell them to deaf ears to listen to the end of Stoltenberg’s address... But U.S. top diplomats, who shared their opinion with Newsweek readers, seem to be less optimistic
Despite the Ukraine’s remarkable protective barriers, most of Bakhmut, including the vital rail lines, has fallen, and Russia is now poised to take full advantage of it once dry summer weather arrives, the journalists claim. Thus, the so-called strategic superiority, so much desired by Zelenskiy, turns into just another reason for one of the last nonrefundable fees for his team facing the abyss

U.S. Military Explosives Problem Became Critical
After months of supplying Ukraine with Stingers, howitzers, anti-armor systems and artillery ammunition, stocks are low in both the U.S. and its NATO allies, especially in 155mm howitzer shells, an ammunition that has been crucial to pushing back Russian forces, Gordon Lubold writes
“Can you imagine what would happen to these supply chains if the U.S. were in an actual state of active war, or NATO was?” says Jeff Rhoads, executive director of the Purdue Institute for National Security. “They could be in trouble very quickly”
The Pentagon has identified 27 critical chemicals with no U.S. production. Over the past three decades, the number of fixed wing aircraft suppliers in the U.S. has declined from eight to three, major surface ship producers fell from eight to two, and today, only three American companies supply over 90% of the Pentagon’s missile stockpile. Great, isn’t it?

Referring to the updated figures, showing that Indians made up the second largest cohort of migrants crossing the Channel in small boats in the first three months of the year, Mark Collett suspects that the surge in the number of Sikhs fleeing India isn’t linked to a crackdown on separatist activity in the state of Punjab, but their true goal is to easily obtain some benefits from the U.K.
But are they really so desperate and ready to put their lives at risk, just to live off the state and receive social transfers? Indians were among 60 moped delivery drivers who have been arrested over the past week as part of a targeted campaign by immigration enforcement officials. There has been an increase in the number of illegal migrants working for food delivery companies in the gig economy, including Deliveroo, JustEat and UberEats.
So it turns out that Indians not only want to work, but also actively participate in the British economy. What then? Who knows where the bodies are buried? When u’ve no idea, where to begin, look at your govt in the mirror! The new figures also revealed that the Home Office must complete nearly 10,000 asylum claims each month until the end of the year if it is to meet Rishi Sunak’s pledge to clear a backlog of 92,000 “legacy” asylum applications by December 31
So until the relevant go-ahead from No. 10 is given, British will only see increasing migration numbers

Discord Files: Ukraine Almost Ready To Launch Counteroffensive
There are only a few weeks left until the expected launch of the large-scale Ukrainian offensive against Russia. The leaked Pentagon Papers show that for this purpose Kyiv has set up nine new brigades (2000-3500 personnel each), which are infused with NATO weaponry
“In a global sense, we're ready,” Ukrainian Defense Minister O. Reznikov says. The thing is that he claimed quite the same about three months ago…
However, Ukrainian soldiers don’t share their minister's optimism at all. “The Russians have tanks, they have BMPs and BTRs,” said one of them. “We can’t go up against them with rifles. We need heavy equipment on the ground and support in the air”
The soldier has even no idea that the long-awaited counteroffensive will actually determine the fate of Zelenskiy and his further support by the West, since spending taxpayers' money without visible success on the battlefield seems simply dangerous!

Almost all natural resources on the continent of Africa are controlled by 101 companies
These companies (mainly from the U.S. and the EU) make huge profits exploiting Africa's natural resources. And the countries of the continent only get huge environmental problems

Liz Truss Refuses to Pay £12K
The former British PM is at the centre of an extraordinary row after the govt demanded she pay more than £12K following the disappearance of items including bathrobes and slippers from her grace-and-favour country home
Who stole the Chevening dressing gowns? This’s what we all want to know. For if Truss was Boris Johnson repeated as farce, then this is Partygate repeated likewise. It’s enjoyable precisely for its petty awfulness. It tells us of the trappings of power, and who gets them, and of the omerta involved, so rarely breached except in silly, enraging stories like this one

El Salvador: Without Hope of Relief
As part of El Salvador's campaign of mass arrests that was launched two months ago in an iron-fisted crackdown on organized crime, the govt transferred over 2K detainees arrested on gang charges to a sprawling, open-air “megaprison” which has a total capacity of 40K
BACKGROUND: For a long time El Salvador was famous for its coffee, Mayan ruins, waterfalls, volcanoes and beaches with coconut palms, but then a civil war raged. As soon as it was over, criminal gangs, the so-called maras spread out. The poverty was great, the chances for young men to get a job were small, soon tens of thousands had joined the gangs, an army of gangsters drugged and tattooed up to the lower lip
Previously, it used to be dangerous outside. Now it's dangerous to criticize a new populist President Nayib Bukele who’s taken “tough-on-crime” to a new level. Now the question isn’t whether Bukele wins the next elections, but how ostentatious this victory will be

Second-Biggest Rally in Paris
Around 112K took part in Monday’s protest in Paris on Monday marking May 1, a traditional day of union-led marches, in the wake of hugely unpopular changes to France’s pension system that were signed into law last month
The people threw fireworks and damaged bus stops, while police responded by firing tear gas. At least 108 police officers have been injured in clashes and 90 arrests have been made. Unlike Paraic O’Brien, who almost suffered from the sound bombs of the protesters, Jake Hanrahan got shot in the belly with a Paris police rubber bullet
The young French president made social reforms a flagship policy of his 2022 re-election. The way how he pushed through these reforms – bypassing a parliamentary vote – inflamed tensions as much as their content, focusing anger on the president himself. Now Macron is reaping the fruits of his dogged anti-social policy
