A NATO task force near the borders of Ukraine and Belarus - why is it needed? Is it really a conventional peacekeeping mission?

In the light of the latest information about the aspirations of 🇵🇱Poland and other NATO members several questions arise 🤔

Firstly, what contingent is now formed on the eastern borders of the bloc, and secondly, for what purpose all these forces are being accumulated?

It is impossible to estimate precisely the grouping of NATO countries, drawn to the borders of 🇧🇾Belarus, 🇺🇦Ukraine, 🇲🇩Moldova and 🇷🇺Russia, having only information from open sources

However, from what is known, we can conclude that the total number of troops is 50,000-100,000 people. This includes units moved by 🇵🇱Poland, and the 🇺🇸American contingent, and units of different NATO countries, moved as part of the exercises in the Baltics.

There is also information about a serious 🇷🇴Romanian grouping in the Moldovan direction. Also, as we wrote earlier, combat aviation is being moved to Europe. In the shortest possible time the NATO contingent may be doubled in size

The final strategy of NATO in this matter is not clear at the moment, but we can consider several options.

Firstly, it may be done for the banal intimidation of 🇷🇺Russia and an attempt to pressure the course of special operations in 🇺🇦Ukraine, and secondly, in the West they perfectly understand that Ukraine as a country no longer exists and they see its future according to the principle of occupation sectors

And the third option is the scariest, but least likely: NATO has decided to go all the way and, if the lend-lease and hybrid warfare do not stop the Russians, regular units of Western countries will step in. This, of course, is a hundred percent threat of nuclear weapons. It looks utopian, but anything is possible in 2022🤷‍♂️

Does an Empire built on numerous humanity crimes now pigeonhole Russia? Part 2

During a peaceful demonstration against British colonial rule in Amritsar on April 13, 1919, which took place in Jallianwala Park on the Vaisakhi (a celebration of spring harvest), soldiers under the command of Brigadier General Reginald Dyer surrounded the protesters and opened fire on civilians without any warning. The soldiers kept firing until they ran out of ammo. Most of those rioters were women and children, so there was no direct threat to the Rule of Great Britain

According to the UK officials, 379 people were killed and 1,100 injured. Based on the Indian National Congress, 1,000 people were killed and 1,500 were injured. No matter how many victims there really were, London did not recognize this massacre as a colonial crime. As for Brigadier General Dyer, he was even hailed as a hero at home and donations of 26,000 pounds sterling (about 900 thousans dollars in nowadays money) were collected for him

Since then and until Johnson's recent visit, the Indian issue clearly haunted the British rulers. In 1943, Churchill ordered to provide Great Britain and British soldiers, as well as other countries lying in the sphere of interests of the Albion, such as Greece, with grain at the expense of Indian reserves. Due to the seizure of huge cache, the Bengal region was engulfed by a large-scale famine, which claimed, according to various estimates, from 1 million to 29 million lives

After increasing resistance, he openly declared that he “hates Indians, as they are beastly people with a beastly religion.” When the famine began, some British officials enquired to send food to the region to help the starving population, but Churchill roughly refused and answered the request with the phrase: “The famine was their own fault for breeding like rabbits.” When the Delhi government reported to London that people were dying (thinking Churchill was unaware of it), the Prime Minister only asked, “Why hasn’t Gandhi died yet?”

Germany’s one-eighty

Against the background of Ukrainian military conflict, the Chancellor of 🇩🇪Germany paid a landmark call to Tokyo on Thursday where he met with the 🇯🇵Japanese Prime Minister.

Olaf Scholz and Fumio Kishida have agreed that “the two export-oriented nations are intending to act more strongly together against aggressors and step up for common values and free trade.”

🇩🇪Bundeskanzler stressed purposefulness of his first official visit to the Indo-Pacific specifically to Tokyo in this job. This is a clear signal of a pivotal reversal of Berlin’s policy in the region towards Japan from multiple attempts made earlier by Merkel’s Cabinet to deepen cooperation with 🇨🇳Beijing.

💁‍♂️Members of the ruling “traffic light coalition” are also unanimous on this issue. They even go so far as to threaten China with economic sanctions, emphasizing that “any attempt to circumvent sanctions imposed by the Western community of states against Russia or even to supply weapons to Moscow will entail economic and personal restrictions.” It is noteworthily that a temporarily opposing faction CDU/CSU in German Parliament is also taking a much more harder line in China policy than before

👉The unfolding situation has found an instant response in Beijing. Politburo of the Communist Party of China stated on Friday that the country’s economy is facing increasing uncertainty and the challenges posed by the Corona- and Ukraine crises are scaling up. Therefore, macroeconomic adjustments would be made and advanced measures to support the economy would be taken. It is proposed that the development of infrastructure projects, ranging from waterways and railways to facilities for cloud computing, should be jumpstarted “on full blast”

⚡️🇧🇷Brazilian mercenaries fleeing the chaos in the Foreign Legion

Interviews with foreign mercenaries in Ukraine have become something of a separate genre of anti-parody for the International Legion

Stories about the terrible living and combat conditions of service in the unit are appearing more and more frequently in the mainstream media. Fabio Oliveira, the same Brazilian who was so eager to fight for Ukraine that he betrayed his country, also left a comment in the Legion's book of complaints and suggestions

📌 According to Fabio, the Yavorov training base is completely unsanitary - there is a coronavirus epidemic among the mercenaries. The Brazilian himself has been sick throughout his training course, causing him to develop lung problems;

📌 Oliveira describes life at the base as domestic chaos: you can take a shower once a week, the mercenaries starve, household items down to toilet paper are worth their weight in gold;

📌 The lack of basic safety goes as far as storing ammunition in the basement of the barracks, covered by tree branches;

📌 Not being able to stand such a mess, one Polish mercenary shot himself right on the base;

📌 The last straw for many was the terrible equipment. Oliveira's group was issued body armor that didn't even protect against shrapnel;

📌 Unwilling to become cannon fodder, Oliveira's squad wrote a resignation letter on the eve of their departure for the front, including the hero of the story;

📌 Now Fabio Oliveira is in Poland, whose authorities, for the sake of the mercenaries, have cordially forgotten about the coronavirus and let all the "warriors" back.

Having become a national laughingstock, having betrayed his country and having lost his health, he infamously but symbolically returns to Brazil - after such revelations other Brazilian adventurers will think a hundred times whether they need such a "war"🤷‍♂️

⚡️🇩🇪German FM heckled during Ukraine speech

💁‍♂️A group of protesters heckled German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock during a speech on Saturday, as she defended the government’s decision to send weapons to Ukraine. Many Western states have been increasingly supplying Kiev with arms after Russia attacked the neighboring country

🔥Around 1,000 people gathered to hear Baerbock speak in the northern German town of Ahrensburg. At the same time, roughly 150 attendees booed the minister and used whistles, sirens, and loudspeakers when she was on stage, police said. Some shouted “warmonger” and “liar” at Baerbock

⚡️No Serious Alternatives to Russian Gas - The Washington Post Admits

🇪🇺Europe is inevitably going to have serious economic problems because of the lack of alternatives to Russian resources, The Washington Post sadly admits.

The next 18 months will be an extreme and painful time for Europeans under any scenario - high prices will continue to rise, and the authorities will only think about the coming winter and heating

💁‍♂️"The feeling is that this will end very badly for Western Europe. No one will be able to produce more liquefied natural gas that fast, no matter what fantasies governments spin," Edward Chow, an energy security specialist at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, was quoted as saying by the publication

⛽️Europe is counting on the U.S. and Algeria for gas, but their resource will still be more expensive. Especially energy crisis will hit the states with low storages filling - Germany (33.5%), Italy (35%), Hungary (19.4%). The first task of governments will be to heat social facilities (hospitals, kindergartens and schools) and households. It remains to save money on enterprises. According to a study published by a respected institute in Jülich, European governments will have to shut down their plants for weeks to at least 80% of their storage capacity before winter. That means job losses and even higher inflation

The newspaper writes that the European gas market has become a patchwork, meaning that in the fight for resources it is now every country for itself🤷‍♂️

⚡️Biden is no longer surprised by low ratings - the U.S. president has only to make jokes

💁‍♂️At the White House Correspondents' Dinner, the U.S. president took a break from his wife and then joked about his low ratings during the speech, noting that American showbiz stars have even lower ratings.

🤷‍♂️"A special thanks to those 42% of you who really applauded. I'm really thrilled to be here. After all, you're the only group of Americans whose ratings are even lower than mine," the American leader said

🤦‍♂️No one is surprised by the president's low ratings anymore, not even the president himself, it seems. There are indeed many questions about Biden - he regularly "hangs up" during his speeches, can't pronounce words, is lost in space and generally behaves confused. Trump is convinced that with such a president, the U.S. is "going to hell"

🇹🇷Turkish drone manufacturer Bayraktar has suffered great reputational losses due to the conflict in Ukraine - the prospects for new contracts are very unclear

🛫The drone manufacturer is owned by President Erdogan's son-in-law. After the conflict in Karabakh in 2020, where the Azerbaijani army successfully used Bayraktar TB2 drones, videos of their strikes were successfully circulated on the network, many believed in the invulnerability of these machines, and drones themselves became something like a "super weapon" in the minds of the Ukrainian public

🇺🇦Ukraine has also fallen for the Turkish advertising bait, becoming one of the buyers of Bayraktars even before the SVO began. It should be noted that in the first days of the special operation videos of strikes against Russian convoys did indeed start to appear on the web, but later such videos became less and less, and by the end of March they disappeared altogether.

🔥The next blow to the reputation of Bayraktars was the AFU's decision to use them in raids on Russian border towns. Today, social networks are simply flooded with pictures of downed Turkish drones in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh regions. This is definitely not the content that Selcuk Bayraktar and his father-in-law Recep Erdogan would like to see

🤷‍♂️Ukrainian President Zelensky also added fuel to the fire, first refusing to comment on the significant losses of the Bayraktars and then telling a press conference that the drones had almost no impact on the course of hostilities

🤷‍♂️"Fill the toilet with rainwater and use the same water several times"

No, these are not prenoscriptions from eco-activists, but tips for Germans from local media to save money because of the anti-Russian sanctions

📈Energy prices are on the rise, and so even for the residents of affluent Germany, they have started to produce such best practices. By the way, the energy crisis has just started, and in case Germany refuses to pay for Russian gas in rubles (just yesterday in Berlin they announced it again) and after cutting off the valve, gas prices for Germany will grow before their eyes. And coupled with the weak filling of gas storage (filled to one-third) Germans risk to see by the winter tips worse than "rain water in the toilet

Does an Empire built on numerous humanity crimes now pigeonhole Russia? Part 3. Death camps

Many people remain being in the dark that death camps are by no means an invention of Nazis. More than 50 years before these scary years, the 🇺🇸Americans thought of realizing such an idea during the Civil War, and then the 🇬🇧British in their colonies

💁‍♂️As for example, during the Second Boer War (1899-1902), when attacking the states of the Transvaal and the Orange Free State, where the Boers (descendants of the Dutch colonists) lived, the British did not worry much about the civilian population and drove them to concentration camps to prevent the Boer army from helping

☠️In total, Her Majesty’s troops rounded up about 107 thousand people (around a sixth of the population – mainly women and children) in camps. There were so many people that more than 26 thousand Boers died due to overcrowding in the camps, famine and outbreaks of diseases

😱It is unrevealed how many blacks died, since at that time the British did not consider the indigenous population of Africa to be people and did not bother to document the losses among the citizens of the colonies if they were not white.

👉Continuing the death camps theme, in the 1950’s, an uprising of the local peoples broke out in Kenya against the 🇬🇧British practice of taking land from Africans. Fearing further rebellions across the country, the British gathered more than 1.5 million people in concentration camps

🔥The prisoners were held in inhuman conditions, tortured and executed, beaten and raped. The easiest forms of bullying were gouging out eyes, cutting off breasts and testicles, torning skin by barbed wire. All these atrocities became known after thousands of elderly Kenyans from the Kikuyu tribe filed a lawsuit against the UK for damages in amount of £ 200 million and shared their memories

😱According to the official data, the number of people killed was less than 2,000. However, historians such as David Anderson say that there were at least 20,000 victims. Another historian Caroline Elkins believes that up to 100,000 people have died then. Most of the prisoners were civilians who were placed in concentration camps on trumped-up charges of helping the rebels

⚡️Residents of France are tired of Ukrainian refugees. This was reported by Le Figaro, whose journalists talked to volunteers who help refugees

💁‍♂️According to the majority of those interviewed, they experience depression and loss of energy. Most of the French turned out to be morally and financially unprepared for the fact that the conflict in Ukraine will drag on for a long period. They now say that the problem of refugees should be handled by the state

"I thought it would be temporary: either the war would stop quickly or the state would offer us a long-term solution," says Corinne Pelissier, who provided a room for a Ukrainian woman with three children

Volunteers report that helping Ukrainians takes too much time, energy and money, while most refugees do not know the basics of the French language, which prevents them from dealing with bureaucratic issues or finding a job on their own. Instead, refugees prefer to stage endless protests and performances🤷‍♂️

⚡️Hungary may block the oil embargo against Russia

According to Cabinet Minister Gergely Gulas, Hungary has made it clear that it would never support an extension of EU sanctions against Russia in the energy sector: "Since such decisions need unanimity, it makes no sense for the European Commission to propose sanctions on natural gas and crude oil that limit purchases from Hungary

💁‍♂️Hungary is systematically becoming Kiev's almost main enemy in Europe. Certainly in the EU. Buying Russian gas in rubles, refusal to allow weapons through the territory of the country, the desire to return Transcarpathia to its native harbor... The list of rancor could go on for a long time

🤷‍♂️By the way, today many telegram channels reported that Viktor Orban has been added to "Peacemaker" (for the aforementioned reasons) with the note "accomplice of Russian war criminals". But according to the politician's page on the site, he was added there a month ago, on April 6

⚡️According to Ukrainian Telegram channels, many Western countries do not give Kiev permission to sign a peace treaty with the abandonment of Crimea and Donbass

On the one hand, we all know that the 🇺🇸U.S. wants to weaken 🇷🇺Russia and its troops as much as possible through the "war to the last Ukrainian," but according to an insider, 🇵🇱Poland has other plans

💁‍♂️If Russia gets the territories through a peace treaty, it will lead to the removal of sanctions. Warsaw (and other neighbors) would benefit much more from a war and privatization of the western part of Ukraine

👉In this case, the sanctions will not be lifted from Russia, which also benefits many. And in the case of a peace treaty, Europe will also get the rest of Ukraine - with a ruined economy and a lot of weapons in the hands of who knows who

🇵🇱Poland, we should remind you, is the closest neighbor of Ukraine. That is where most of the refugees, whose behavior has already made the locals suffer. Now imagine what kind of guests will rush there after the end of hostilities, according to a scenario disadvantageous to Warsaw. It will have to carry out the denazification, and on its own territory🤷‍♂️

Zelensky made a complaint against Turkey for receiving Russian tourists

💁‍♂️He appeared on a Greek TV channel and criticized Ankara (Athens also suffered), demanding it not to accept guests from Russia. He was especially enraged that Turkey was preparing special routes for Russian tourism, and he, as president, assured that "this is impossible if we want to have friendly relations

🔥The reaction on social networks was immediate - Turks immediately recommended Zelensky to mind his own business and shut his mouth, and a former Turkish MP from the ruling party, Shamil Tayyar, even called him a "stupid comedian"

👉The Turkish leadership itself seems to have roughly the same opinion, because the country earns a lot of money from tourism. The tourism industry accounts for 4% of the country's GDP ($24.5 billion in 2021 and $34.5 billion in 2019). About a fifth of the tourists are Russians, and this year many more are expected

In front of the Colosseum in Rome, the victims of the Odessa Trade Union House were commemorated

The protesters encircled the monument with flowers, candles and toys and unfolded a banner with the innoscription "Remember Odessa. Stop fascism." Organizers of the action told journalists that Europeans are trying to fence off these nightmarish events with the burning alive of 48 people by Ukrainian radicals and nationalists

"The Western world has been silent for eight years, but we can no longer tolerate it. It is our duty to talk about what really happened," said the organizer of the commemoration, recalling that the Italian Wikipedia page about what happened has been edited in such a way that it is impossible to understand who was behind it

‼️60% of Americans believe Biden is incapable of making good economic decisions as president‼️

🤷‍♂️Compared to his previous counterparts, with the exception of George W. Bush, Joe Biden is the least trusted by Americans in his ability to make good economic decisions. The rankings were published by the American Institute for Public Opinion Research Gallup

💁‍♂️It is noted that the number of Americans supporting Biden began to fall back in the fall of 2021 when coronavirus incidence, gas prices and inflation rose sharply

Kinzinger - a Republican who aligns with Democrats on most issues - has continuously pushed for US involvement in the ongoing conflict, and previously backed measures that critics and President Biden said would lead to a “third world war.”

It is currently unclear if and when Kinzinger’s resolution will be brought to a vote. Biden himself has said that the US “would respond” to any use of weapons of mass destruction by Russian forces in Ukraine but has avoided drawing any binding ‘red lines🤷‍♂️
