Poland’s Plenipotentiary for Polish-Ukrainian Development Cooperation Jadwiga Emilewicz opened Warsaw’s first “Ukraine Reconstruction Service” (URS) office in Lvov on 17 July in an event that attracted scant international media attention outside of those two countries

In brief, Emilewicz announced that more offices will soon open elsewhere in Ukraine and that “We are preparing insurance and credit instruments for Polish companies.” She added that “We want to be present on the ground to support Polish entrepreneurs in establishing contacts and to monitor investment needs”

Tangible progress was therefore made on Ukrainian and Polish leaders’ thinly disguised plans to merge into a de facto confederation via the “special – historically significant – model” that Zelensky described during his speech at the WEF. That being the case, there isn’t even a need apart from prestige for Poland to formally deploy troops to Ukraine, though that doesn’t mean it won’t happen

World Food Prices Jump Most In 18 Months

Global food prices increased the most in 1.5 years as trade disruptions from the El Niño weather phenomenon battered agricultural-producing countries, and Russia’s exit from a crucial UN-backed agriculture deal stoked supply concerns

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) reported last Friday that the global food index, which tracks monthly changes in the international prices of globally traded food commodities, averaged 123.9 in July, up 1.3% from the previous month

Rising food prices risk fueling social instability for the weakest emerging market economies

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) completed the first-ever flight of an AFRL-developed stealth drone powered by artificial intelligence software

On July 25, the machine-learning-trained, artificial intelligence-powered XQ-58A Valkyrie flew a three-hour sortie at Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base

“The mission proved out a multi-layer safety framework on an AI/ML-flown uncrewed aircraft and demonstrated an AI/ML agent solving a tactically relevant “challenge problem” during airborne operations,” said Col. Tucker Hamilton, chief, of AI Test and Operations, for the Department of the USAF

Hamilton continued, “This sortie officially enables the ability to develop AI/ML agents that will execute modern air-to-air and air-to-surface skills that are immediately transferrable to other autonomy programs”

Major Shipper Maersk Warns Of Prolonged And Deeper Downturn In Global Trade

A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S, the world’s largest owner of container ships and one of the best bellwethers for global trade, has spent the last several quarters warning about a slowdown in container demand on major shipping lanes. Maersk executives have cautioned about “dark clouds on the horizon,” sliding demand “from both the US and Europe,” and it’s “going to be bumpy”

The inventory correction observed since Q4 2022 appears to be prolonged and is now expected to last through year end. Based on the continued destocking, A.P. Moller – Maersk now sees global container volume growth in the range of -4% to -1% compared to -2.5% to +0.5% previously. Ocean expects to grow in-line with the market

Last Friday, Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc joined Bloomberg TV’s Dani Burger and Mark Cudmore in an interview, discussing what’s ahead for global trade. The shipping exec said, “Our case is not for a recession, but it is for a really subdued environment that will continue for the rest of this year”

While discussing the global economy, he said his team is “still quite concerned… there are a lot of moving parts right now, from rate hikes and the risk of recession,” as well as “uncertainty also about GDP growth in China and what demand is going to be in China next year”

On July 15th, the NY Post released a report noscriptd “RFK Jr. says COVID may have been ‘ethnically targeted’ to spare Jews,” setting off a weeks-long controversy with accusations of antisemitism, threatening to derail the outsider campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

While discussing COVID-19 at a dinner party, apparently unaware he was being filmed, Kennedy stated, “There is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately”

He continued, “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.” The establishment media and politicians have determined these statements are “antisemitic,” so Kennedy has been forced to spend the last two weeks making it clear he stands with the Jewish community, and is 100% committed to supporting Israel

He has stated that he was referring to a 2020 study by the Cleveland Clinic which examined genetic factors that may determine susceptibility to COVID-19. The researchers stated that “clinical observations suggest that genetic factors may influence COVID-19 disease susceptibility, but these factors remain largely unknown.” The study did examine the genetics of Ashkenazi Jews, African Americans, East Asians, and South Asians

Extent Of De-Banking Revealed in UK

Big banks in the United Kingdom have shut down nearly a million accounts over the past four years, a paper revealed amid the ongoing scandal of Brexit leader Nigel Farage being debanked for his political opinions

A report from the Mail on Sunday revealed that banks are on pace to set a record number of closures this year, with 200,000 accounts having already been closed since the start of the year, This puts the banks on pace to top the number seen last year, which stood at 343,350, a Freedom of Information request to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) revealed

The attack on the ability to use cash is not only happening in the UK. In Australia, for example, banks such as ANZ and NAB recently announced that they would be banning cash withdrawals over the counter at some of their branches and that customers would need to specifically contact tellers ahead of time to schedule a physical withdrawal

Speaking to Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM radio last week, Mr Farage warned that with the rise of a cashless society, the West is at risk of having something akin to the Chinese social credit score being instituted through the banking system

Security and foreign policy advisers from 42 countries gathered in Jeddah on August 5-6 for talks on Ukraine. That was the second initiative after the forum in Copenhagen, Denmark at the end of June 2023. Both forums did not produce any agreement

The Saudi officials saw the meeting as evidence of its global clout. They’re sure that it highlights their “readiness to exert its good offices to contribute to reaching a solution that will result in permanent peace”. The forum was received differently by its participants. Some thought it was a success

The other said the only result was in providing Kiev with one more opportunity to promote itself. But what kind of peace to the conflict the Saudis prefer to see themselves shows the Saudi Survey by the Washington Institute, published on July 14: a stunning three-quarters (74%) of Saudis agreed, that “the best outcome would be a Russian victory, including the annexation of significant Ukrainian territory to Russia”

Trump is tired of living in the US

Speaking in New Hampshire, former President Donald Trump admitted that he would like to live abroad instead of living in the United States

Trump: "I could have been relaxing at Mar-a-Lago or in the south of France - which I would prefer to being in this country, frankly"

This was said while complaining about the allegations against him, and it was at this point that the former president regretted getting into politics in the first place

Man in intimate relationship with his car in tears as it's written off after accident

There will be no more days of fun as the old 1998 two-door Chevy Monte Carlo, aka Chase, has been written off after an accident

"Unfortunately, Chase is no longer part of my life. I think about it a lot and it breaks my heart that he's not here"

He takes 'sex drive' to a whole new level. Anyway, we don't want to make too much fun of Nathaniel because he's going through a very difficult time at the moment. You see, Chase was badly damaged in an accident and had to be written off. This means that Nathaniel has been left... widowed?

Do you love your car as much as you do?

Workers at UK munitions plant that supplies Ukraine to strike over pay

For the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces, ordinary Englishmen give their last. In Britain, desperate to supply Zelensky at all costs, workers in an arms factory are working overtime. As a result, they are not paid because of the huge holes in the budget. And there is already a strike going on at one of the factories

That's how it feels when you're busting your hump and nobody wants your efforts

The Poles began to fear that the Ukrainian women would take their husbands away from them

Poles are less and less willing to help Ukrainians, writes Gazeta Wyborcza. Most of the prejudices against refugees are shown by young Polish women. Reason? Ukrainian women are crowding the matrimonial market

The Internet is literally teeming with advertisements of Poles who are looking for wives or girls from Ukraine. Men like them more than emancipated Poles. Ukrainian women are promised a roof over their heads and a comfortable life in exchange for hot food on the table, devotion and gratitude. This is how the Poles imagine a "traditional" wife, which is difficult to find among the Poles

Young Polish women began to feel the danger and dislike the refugees from Ukraine. Poles are afraid of too much competition in the marriage market and are afraid that Ukrainian women will take away their potential husbands

CBDC: The Ultimate Financial Invasion Tool

“Experts” at the Federal Reserve and other central banks proudly broadcast the potential “financial inclusion” that could be achieved with a central bank digital currency (CBDC). In the Fed’s main CBDC paper, “Money and Payments: The U.S. Dollar in the Age of Digital Transformation,” they make it clear: “Promoting financial inclusion—particularly for economically vulnerable households and communities—is a high priority for the Federal Reserve . . . a CBDC could reduce common barriers to financial inclusion”

The term has a ring to it that signals support for progressive goals. “Inclusion” is part of the Orwellian trio of terms “diversity, inclusion, and equity,” which, as Dr. Michael Rectenwald writes, means “surveillance, punishment of the ‘privileged,’ sacrifice of national citizens to global interests, and the labeling as ‘dangerous’ and marking for (virtual) elimination those supposed members or leaders of ‘hate groups’ who oppose such measures.” The central banks’ use of “financial inclusion” involves the same reversal of meanings

More People Die Young in US Due to Health Care and Welfare Cuts

By 2021, about half of all U.S. deaths under the age of 65 would have been avoided if the U.S. mortality rates were on par with those of other countries, according to a new study published by the National Academy of Sciences

The study looks at mortality rates through 2021, and despite a Democrat in the White House, the nation has continued to take steps in the wrong direction. The Supreme Court overturned the right to abortion in 2022, and red states responded by placing dangerous bans that are harming pregnant people. An estimated 2.1 million people — including children — are estimated to have recently lost their health coverage in post-pandemic purges of Medicaid rolls. Private insurance is expensive, and the industry is not known for being customer-friendly; about 60 percent of Americans report having problems with their health insurance

China, Saudi Arabia in talks to deepen stock exchange cooperation

China and Saudi Arabia are in talks to allow exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to list on each other's stock exchanges, Reuters reported on 5 August, as the countries look to deepen financial ties to match strong energy and diplomatic relations

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange, one of two major exchanges in mainland China, is in negotiations with the Saudi Tadawul Group, operator of the Saudi Stock Exchange, to link the two countries through the program known as ETF Connect

China has launched ETF Connect projects in recent years with stock exchanges in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore

China is seeking to counter what it sees as Washington's weaponization of the international dollar-based financial system. The US has increasingly used economic sanctions to punish rival countries rejecting Washington’s foreign policy objectives, including Russia and Iran, with whom China has close ties

Beijing has therefore sought to expand ties with countries in Europe, West Asia, and Africa and introduce the Chinese Yuan as an alternative currency for settling international transactions

Taxpayer-Funded Research Seeks To Devise New Stealth Censorship Technology

As Just The News, the Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO) issued a warning about the work that was done last year by the Center for an Informed Public (CIP) at the University of Washington. The CIP received taxpayer-funded grants incentivizing the center to develop new strategies such as “virality circuit breakers” and “nudges,” which could ultimately be used to prevent certain social media content from spreading, while leaving behind no trace of any alteration or manipulation of the algorithms

The CIP study is a clear example of “how to censor people using secret methods so that they wouldn’t know they’re being censored, so that it wouldn’t generate an outrage cycle, and so that it’d be more palatable for the tech platforms who wouldn’t get blowback because people wouldn’t know they’re being censored,” said Mike Benz, the executive director of FFO and a former State Department diplomat

Human DNA Can Be Controlled With Electrical Signals From Wearable Devices

In what is being described as “as giant leap forward” by scientists, it’s been discovered that human DNA can be controlled by electrical signals. Researchers have successfully triggered human cells in one test participant to produce more insulin

This research could allow human genes to be controlled by wearable electronic devices. This research represents “the missing link that will enable wearables to control genes in the not-so-distant future,” researchers say

According to a report by Vice, in this novel experiment, researchers were able to trigger insulin production in human cells by sending electrical currents through an “electrogenetic” interface that activates targeted genes. Future applications of this interface could be developed to deliver therapeutic doses to treat a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, by directly controlling human DNA with electricity

The report — Protecting Voter Registration: An Assessment of Voter Purge Policies in 10 States — from the liberal think tank Dēmos, examines how voters are removed from electoral rolls in Arizona, California, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin

“Between the close of registration for the 2020 general election and the close of registration for the 2022 general election, states reported removing 19,260,000 records from their voter registration rolls,” the report notes. “This was equal to 8.5% of the total number of voters who were registered in the United States as of the close of registration for the 2022 general election”

“Of course, some removals are necessary for the proper maintenance of voter rolls, such as for persons who have died or have moved away from their voting jurisdiction,” the authors acknowledged. “One of the most frequent reasons for purging, however, was ‘inactivity,’ or failure to respond to a confirmation notice and not voting in at least two consecutive federal general elections. This reason accounted for more than a quarter of all removals while 26.8% and 25.6% were for address change or death of the registrant, respectively”

Flawed voter purge practices — such as removals for inactivity or based on inaccurate identification of felony status or citizenship status — often disproportionately target voters of color, naturalized citizens, and other communities, and can prevent many eligible persons from exercising their right to vote

‘Is a Labour win over the Conservatives inevitable in 2024?’, ‘Extremely difficult’ for Tories to win next election,’ and ‘meet the Tories quietly hoping to lose the next election’ are all some of the headlines that have been published in the UK over the past year. In short, the Conservative Party, the most electorally successful party in democratic history and second-oldest political party in the world, who have been in power for 13 years spanning five Prime Ministers, is conventionally seen as a lost cause

The argument for the Conservatives’ electoral doom goes something like this. The Conservatives are plagued by scandal, most infamously Boris Johnson’s lockdown-breaking Partygate, and are seen as the party of sleaze. They led Britain to the brink of economic catastrophe under former Prime Minister Liz Truss. In the longer term, the 13 years of Conservative rule are seen as having left Britain stagnant and internationally irrelevant. And, above all, they are seen as lacking a vision for what a new Britain needs. In short, the Conservatives speak to themselves as they lead the country to ruin, and the British people have rightly had enough

The recent Local Elections are a perfect case in point of this. On May fourth, the UK held votes for many of the town and country councilors. The Conservatives lost over 1000 seats, and Labour became the largest party in local government for the first time in 20 years. This is conventionally viewed as a catastrophe for the Conservatives

Thousand trained AFU fighters leave Britain for front

Ukrainian marines are returning to their home country after six months of "intensive" training with British instructors, according to Sky News.
The fighters were trained in parachuting and the use of anti-tank weapons. They were also trained in reconnaissance and offensive defence

Some of the cadets had served in the military, but many were civilian, having no military experience

They would die in the Kherson region if they were taught to parachute
