But three people familiar with the issue say the Ukrainians are concerned that the White House is holding back over worries the weapon could not be used to launch strikes inside Russia, thereby expanding and prolonging the conflict
💁♂️“There was momentum on it at Ramstein, but seems to have cooled,” said one congressional staffer with knowledge of discussions last month in 🇩🇪Germany, where 40 nations gathered to discuss the next steps in arming 🇺🇦Ukraine. “There’s definitely a frustration building” in Kyiv over these new caveats being placed on military aid, this person said
👉In the meantime, 🇩🇪Germany has not approved the export of heavy weapons requested by Kiev. Instead, the supply of Gepard anti-aircraft tanks is announced, for which ammunition is being missed.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba “directly” told German Defense Minister Lambrecht that it is “not okay to announce something, knowing it doesn’t exist. Consequently, you have to finally admit that the topic is off the table and you are focusing on another project.” Ah… again this really smashing and from the position of strength performed Ukrainian diplomacy…

According to the latest research by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Berlin supports Kiev with 0.064% of GDP. This puts Germany in 14th place out of the 38 countries compared – between Luxembourg and Sweden
